Biden's Secretary of interior will appoint a NASA director with a military aviation background not a political one. He would be replaced and he knows it.

Good, don't slam the door on the way out. A party apparatchik has no business running NASA.

Secretary of State, Chief of Staff, etc. maybe, but NASA is not the kind of place where you need a close relationship with the President.
