The present GOP is the zombie apocalypse. Lots of brain dead shells groaning and moaning loudly about conspiracies and eating the Republic alive. A typical trump supporter captured on film outside a polling center.

I take exception to this post. You are insulting and disparaging perfectly good zombies!

People forget that Trump was a Reality TV star and there is no reality in that genre. When he said "you're fired" it was part of the script and his phone was connected to the producer. Donald Trump took this right on into the White House. It meant daily drama and no real problem solutions. I've seen vehicles with "promises made - promises kept" written on them. What promises? The wall. Immigrants. Take the Republic back to 1776. This Republic has been an experiment in Democracy for at least 85 years now. To rightly deal with all of our people's needs it should stay that way.

Trump babies cry about a stolen election and they refuse to understand how electoral votes work and they also cannot count. They cry out that media called the election. Who did they think would call it - Donald Trump? The Trump GOP and some others need to go back to school here. Nobody is going to take Biden votes and give them to Trump. Donald is now conning people to get his needed money to pay off election debt and he does this at peril of civil unrest and war because he cares about nobody but Trump.

And he may possibly face legal problems, both civil and criminal once he’s out.

Every election since the 2000 Bush/Gore election. Whether mid term, presidential, or any number of local races, somewhere, somehow......one side or the other on the losing side cries, foul, or stolen, accusations of cheating in some form etc etc.

People need to fuckin’ grow up, admit loss, and move on. Your choices will not win all the time....Period That’s reality.

Four years ago, it was the Republicans calling Democrats the crybabies and they were right. Well now the shoe is on the other foot and they are doing the exact same thing. It’s past the point where we have to quit blaming “The powers that be” instead and start looking in the mirrors and each other.

That would be easy to say if the unprecedented events occurring on behalf of the GOP weren't so dangerous for our Republic. We have a right and a need to speak out. This is not normal, nor the usual shenanigans by politicians.

The problem is that there are 70 million of them and they live among us.

Thats why it's an apocalypse. Lol

Holy Jeebus, that is the REAL problem here in America. We've got to get rid of DeVos and ramp up REAL education in this country. Kids need to learn some old-fashioned subjects like "Civics" and some actual critical thinking skills.

Remember the radical right is fringe at best, they are just very vocal. Most of that 70 million and moderates with slightly different political views

@Canndue Please explain to me the difference between a racist and someone who votes for someone to be a racist. I think that you're being naive. If a person can be okay with racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexual predator as leader of the country, our differences are not "slight".

@redbai the problem is half the American public listens to and watches diametrically opposed and heavily biased media. While we are shown police brutality against blacks, they are shown blacks rioting looting and vandalizing.

I agree that we should do everything possible to squash radical right wing nationalism. You see 70 million screaming meanies. That is being naive. I see a bunch of radicals with 69 million marginalized. They need to be re- socialized so we can unite as a country once again.

@Canndue This might simply be a POV issue. You see "screaming meanies" and I see people who see police shooting down unarmed people like me and thinking that is the America they want. You seem to believe there's some media phenomenon that is facilitating and enhancing the racism in this country and I think that the issue is that America is finally being forced to look at what has always been happening here. Thanks to the internet, the only difference is Americans can't hide from it behind platitudes and symbols anymore.

What I, as a black man, hear you saying is that I've got to come to some compromise with people who want me to be satisfied with second class citizenship and the possibility of the police killing me so that the country can unite. That's so much BS it's insulting.

They are wrong and they need to be shunned until they can treat others as equal human beings. Otherwise you're simply trading my humanity for your comfort and the feelings of people who would have no problem seeing me and people like me out of the country or dead if we don't like that second class citizenship.

But I get it. You actually believe this country was once "united". That too is an interesting perspective.

@redbai you paint with a broad brush, and also try to put words in my mouth for your own agenda.
Your second paragraph is the BS

You say the sheep are wrong, I say they are misled. That’s where our disagreement is. Since you are on an atheist site, I assume you have seen or experienced and understand the power of indoctrination in religion. It’s 100% the same in political ideology. We need to accept nothing but liberty and justice for ALL. WE need to push for fair, unbiased and factual journalism across the board so we all hear the same message. CNN is just as bad as FOX, they are just on opposite ends of the spectrum.

We can work unite or continue the divide, . I just choose the former...

@Canndue What words did I put in your mouth? The words I used are MY words saying what I believe. I like how you as a white man can call my experience and POV BS. When were you black so that you have the ability to dismiss my POV? Why don't you explain to me how a black person compromises with someone who voted for a racist? Explain how a woman should feel compromise with someone who thinks she's property to make babies with. Explain how a gay person should compromise loving someone they want to love without condemnation.

The idea that racism, sexism, xenophobia and homophobia are "political ideologies" can only be attributed as such by someone who has no chance of ever being affected by any of them. Oh, that would be you.

They aren't sheep they are wolves. Their ideas harm people (well apparently not you). Asking someone to respect and compromise with someone who doesn't respect them is stupid, but a constant request of white people to POC in this country for generations.

@redbai lots of anger issues here. I get it you just want to fight. But not tonight ✌🏼✌🏿✌️
Ciao

@Canndue You don't get it at all and that's exactly why a fight is required.

Also, anger is sometimes an appropriate response and doesn't necessarily constitute an "issue".

@LovinLarge splain it to me

@Canndue @redbai has already done a better job than I could ever do but you won't listen to the oppressed who are the only experts in oppression.

@Canndue Take your condescending "anger issues" BS and shove it up your ass. Using the dismissal of my arguments because you don't like the emotional content you assume they are given with is just a pathetic attempt to ignore the issues. You don't address a thing I've said, you simply choose to ignore them in favor of some pathetic "unity" that white people had before Trump made open racism popular.

Can you answer the question? What rights should non-straight white men and women in general give up so that white men feel unified again. Because we all know that's the important thing. That white men feel that they are in control again.

Explaining it to you is a waste of time. You don't want to hear the disgusting things that people are giving license to by voting for a disgusting human being unless it's said in nice and quite tones. You want to mitigate the dangers of white supremacy to "screaming meanies" to unite with people who are openly racist, an insult to everyone who has been a victim of the same. You're waiting for an excuse to interact with your "buddies" who were all Trump voters that you seemed to fit in with just fine until their racist tendencies started to show defending Trump. Now that Trump's no longer President, you want those relationships back because, aside from their denigration of people not like you, they were just fine.

@redbai you don’t know me, you don’t know what I stand for. Before all your personal attacks on me. The notion was, we have 70 million who voted Republican. I think they were wrong to do so. Perhaps you can explain what you think we should do with them?

@Canndue I already said what I think should be done. They should be shunned the same as sex offenders and drug dealers. Their behavior should be considered anti-social and they should come to those they have harmed asking how they should change to fit into decent society. Those people voted for a man who's incompetence allowed over a quarter of a million Americans to die who didn't have to die. His policy was to take children from their parents and lock them up in separate cages to discourage people coming to America for humanitarian aid. His wife had the nerve to board a plane bragging about how she really didn't give a damn about the kids. I find it difficult seeing what it is about people who voted for Trump that is is worth suffering their bigotry and racism.

Why should black people want to make a compromise with white people who are okay with them being shot and killed in the streets?

Why should women want to compromise with people who want to take away their abilities to control what happens to their bodies?

Why should a person who is not straight have to consider what anyone else thinks about who they love and want to marry?

Why should anyone's god have any say over anything that I do?

You haven't answered any of these questions and they are positions of those you want oppressed people to compromise with. And for what? For the chance to be treated like a human being with their own agency? Who the hell gave Trump and his minions the ability to deny anyone's agency for comfort or "unity"?

There should also be a flood of community service ads by the government informing the populace that being a racist or a sexist or a homophobe or a xenophobe is WRONG. Not a policy difference which mitigates it to a benign choice with no repercussions, but WRONG. There should be a campaign put together defining those who still worship the traitors that tried to tear this country apart by flying a traitor's flag as unpatriotic and the statues of those traitors should be torn down.

70 million people voting for an open racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexual predator demonstrates systemic problems in the country. The fact that you don't see that and that it is Trump voters who should be finding ways to fit into respectable social norms instead of others compromising their humanity so that bigots can feel like they belong again is insulting.

Proving their own point at their own expense, the dead do indeed vote. The brainless dead.
