So I’m at the hospital and they start praying over the intercom. I’ve never been here in the mornings and had no idea they did this shit at my hospital. I’m not being dramatic when I say this went on for 10 mf minutes. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes & you know I was doing my thing in the cafeteria while everyone else bowed their heads.

You have made several errors in statement. First, the hospital prayers are no more than 60 seconds, you exaggerated. If you are truthful , the prayer was not ten minutes. Second, faith based hospitals have a responsibility to acknowledge their faith. What is most perplexing is why you would be so hateful over such a positive statement. Was anything in the prayer hateful toward you? Really? It is only in communist natured countries who ban free speech and religious expression that you could be happy. However, you live in a country whose religious roots embedded in the law allow for your freedom to express your religion of agnosticism! Freedom of expression is a religious idea. Scientifically, you also might be interested to know that many properly run scientific studies show positive results from prayer. Its OK to be agnostic, just don't be hateful, the country doesn't function well when people are hateful.

aw man, you mean, your one chance of acting out a scene of being 'exorcised' of a demon in a public forum! you blew it! Just kidding. but it would be funny in a dark/humour sorta way.

OKC has more church-based hospitals than non-church-based hospitals. Fortunately the Baptistones will do vasectomies and tubal ligations but you're out of luck at Mercy and St Anthony's.

Ouch!!
I’m so sorry that you had to be tortured like that.
You would think that by now they would have figured out that there’s no such thing as prayer working.

Religion is like asking Pinnochio to tell the truth....wood boys are not real and noses don't grow longer telling lies

I think I would have asked for ear plugs or to go into a sound proof room.

Almost every hospital in the St Louis area is one demonimation or another. Imagine being stuck there for five days while they did that BS. It was enough that it was gut surgery then they make you feel ill.

And, yes, I misspelled for a reason. 😉

@1EarthLovingGal it was mentioned by me on the survey they send home with everyone

At that Point, I would have had time for a 10 min Song 😁

Being you were at the hospital I'm sure it was the last thing you needed. 🙄

@1EarthLovingGal yeah to that I would say breath holding is not advisable. 🤭

I would have probably did same thing as you.

I wonder how just dancing with yourself would go over.

Yeah the hospital I work at does that shit. Hate it

@1EarthLovingGal i just avoid being there when they do it lol. Benefits of being a contractor and not an employee

Is it a religious hospital? If it's a normal hospital, then contact the FFRF.

@1EarthLovingGal
Contact the Freedom from religion foundation

@xenoview OKC has a very active one.

@1EarthLovingGal wow I thought for sure it was one of the Catholic or Baptist hospitals.

What a waste of 10 minutes. Good for you rolling your eyes. I bet there were people there with Bowed their heads because they did not want to rock the boat. So good for you

How about an anonymous complaint?

@1EarthLovingGal hmmmmmm....a valid medical condition. To bad they'd fire you if you tried to use it as a basis to make them stop. Hope your mood improves as the day goes on.

@1EarthLovingGal But you had the courage to rehabilitate yourself, in the same manner as one recovers from drug / alcohol abuse. Great accomplishment!!
