MEDICARE TRUTH. It's that time of year again for many of us as we see tiring commercials on TV about our "new Medicare benefits." I'm about sick of Joe Namath and cannot wait til December 7th for it to all stop. I get things in my mail about this daily. They even claim you can get $4 added back to your Social Security.

On a whim I called the number and got an "expert." She wanted my zip code and told me there were 4 companies in my area that offered back. The highest was $67 in my area. Well, that confirmed it. I have Coventry now and 4 other companies are wanting to pry me away from Coventry. We go through all this yearly coz there is to be made in healthcare. This is why none of us get the new bennies automatically.

Yes, same here! I especially dislike those ads which begin with "ATTENTION!!!" Joe Namath can go back into retirement, IMHO.

When i knew i was going for knee replacement, I called & changed my plan to better hospitalization coverage. When I had to have the damn thing redone just 2 months later, was I glad I did! Saved me literally thousands! Then I changed back to better RX coverage. It pays to do due diligence!
I like AARP call-answereres, always "Bob or Denise" in the Midwest, not working on commission, patient, knowledgeable, willing to discuss all aspects of My needs for the coming year, & send papers to read before signing on (after asking more questions, lol!)
