Not having been on a date since 1981, any date would be a dream date.

Hit it off randomly and decide to jump on a plane to a random destination. Or a road trip works too.

Lately all I get is dream dates, or dates in dreams... It is late. So, dream date. Sharing dreams, sharing food, good conversation. Doesn't matter where or what kind of food. Just enjoying each other's company and some kind of fun activity.

Two or three hours of conversation in front of a fire with a bottle of wine.

Great conversation with an Intelligence, confidence, humor, assertiveness, and sexual honesty women who like to eat my cooking. Yes, I can cook.

Although such a written dream exercise could be fulled with an elaborate experience rich in physical detail, exotic food smells and sights, chemical electricity, and rich sounds with descriptive emotional responses portraying reactions to each other's compatibility, all positive components of a dream date, I will distill this response to what I most value:

Encountering a brilliant and responsible woman who shares my respect for reality and disdain for superstitions. One who shares my dry sense of humor and finds the Trump plutocracy as abhorrent as I. A woman deeply immersed in the beauty of our scientific discoveries with a lust for problem solving and further understanding the relationships of reality and our world’s ecosystems. Then onto hours of enlightened discussions where we share ideas and respect for each-others devotion to finding the best (most informed and reasoned) outcome for a spectrum of issues and paths of discovery that may change (for the better) the world we share. - - Think this qualifies as a “dream” (as in ain’t gonna happen) date. - -

Meeting a girl at a hotel in Bruges, Belgium - Connecting with her and then spending several days exploring the city, eating chocolate, cheese and drinking rich red wine. Of course, kissing on a personal canal tour at night.

(I did once meet a girl at a hotel in Bruges late at night. We DID connect by conversation. Very cute girl and a very sweet conversation. The next morning I couldn't find her. She'd checked out.)

A dream date, in my view, only happens with somebody with whom you've some familiarity socially via friends or family or arranged (via internet for example) to meet at least once. Aquaintance meeting really isn't a 'date'. I don't think arranged blind dates are either.

That said, I like to gamble a bit like making dinner for her, maybe at her place or visa versa; followed by a night out for some kind of live entertainment, movie or even pool or bowling. Back at her door or mine, maybe a hug. Whoever initiated the date should be the one to await a call/contact to see if there is further interest.

Skiing during the day, then going out for dinner, then walking around the town, then drinks in the hot tub. I live in Ohio (originally from Colorado) so this never happens but one can dream.

It's fun, and y'all having too much fun to be involved in trying to define it or put it into a category, but you know you like each other so there's not any mixed or misleading things.
