Super pleasant! A little prettier than "I was not; I was; I am not; I do not mind.ā€

I love this! Iā€™ve been having existential anxiety lately, and this is beautiful.

While alive there's comfort for some in knowing a part of us continues on, even if that part doesn't have our consciousness. A bit of symbolic immortality, like in the planting of a tree, publishing a book, having children, even just having a tombstone with our name on it. I find it profound knowing I'm star dust, a part of the universe, and share a common ancestry with all life on Earth, and my atoms will continue to be so even when my consciousness ends.

very good. I have planted a willow tree for my ashes to be sprinkled under when I kick the bucket, direct help for the tree which will help lots of nature. no fuss and no funeral. in fact, if it was legal id happily be just be buried directly under it or left for flies next to it but it isn't so cremation it is.

We are all made of stardust, and one day, when the sun goes Nova, we will all return to the cosmos from which our every atom sprang.
Yet, though we have but a little time here, now, in this life, we may yet shine, if only but a little.

Very well put.I too feel much in the same manner as your statement implies

Though I don't believe in God per se I do believe we are part of a higher consciousness. I am not afraid to move to the next "realm" but try to live in the now and live all the experiences I can while I am here.

I won't care about anything once I'm dead. This neither comforts me nor depresses me. Honestly, all I care about is living a good, interesting life, so I don't die thinking about what might have been.

One of the most beautiful pieces of agnostic prose I've read. Thx for sharing, AMGT!
