I really don't feel sorry for hedge funds, with their strip and dump philosophies they have destroyed entire industries

Yes, exactly. Their strategy has always been what's best for their own benefit.

That is kind of what our economic architecture is built on. Capitalism must be highly regulated or it will always be destructive in some ways.
