I bought a composter a few months back and it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me so I just wanted to share some pictures of its magic with you all! Recycling is something that fills my heart with joy every time 💚 Alongside composting, I continue to donate unwanted items & take my cardboard, paper, and cans to the recycling place in town. I can’t wait for us to be able to recycle our bottles and properly dispose of our medications again.. So much waste.. I’ve been pescatarian for about 8 months now, shopping as much organic as I can, & I’ve started purchasing only vegan hygiene products from independent businesses locally & on Etsy. I’ve been working hard on my physical and mental health & I’m so happy to finally live a lifestyle that matches my morals. It’s improved my mental a lot! & I’m sure my physical too although I see 0 results.. one day I hope to go fully vegan like I’ve always wanted.

As great as this is for me, I’m also angry that this wasn’t something I was able to do until after I graduated and became financially stable. I used to beg my mom to let me go vegetarian, but as an adult I see why that wasn’t an option for me then. These items are so expensive and not super accessible in my small Oklahoma town. I’m sure it’s not just here.. I understand the reasons to why it costs more, but it’s just not fair that there are others desiring a healthy lifestyle that can’t always have that because it breaks the bank. It shouldn’t cost so much to do what’s right for the planet and our bodies when you can purchase an innocent animal to eat for under $5. I know there are some affordable options to living this lifestyle, but it’s extremely difficult to do when you weren’t raised in a home that practiced it. Pescatarians, vegetarians, vegans, fruitarians, etc. deserve convenience too! Society has failed the Earth so much. A healthy lifestyle should be affordable! We should be angrier about this and we should be kinder to our planet! I’ll get off my soapbox now... Sending lots of love to you all!
