Just a wee up-date on Tuesday's Delivery for those who may be interested.
Got to visit Mum, Selene, and the twins, Antonia and Alexandra, yesterday Afternoon during Visiting hours as well as Dad, Barry, and 23 month old little brother, Douglas.
Dad was exuding a ' fatherly glow ' the whole time, fussing over his 'new' daughters, Mum and Douglas.
Mum smiled and said to me to me, " Thanks very much for being there, hope I didn't cause you too much of a problem."
I just smiled back at her and told her, " No problems at all, only too happy and glad to be there at the right time, that IS what I was trained for and what I've always loved to do."
We all chatted for a while then Antonia decided that she was feeling hungry, Selene said, laughingly, " Lucky I was born as the human version of a Dairy Cow, these two are drinking me dry between them every time they get peckish."
As we handed Antonia to her, I made my excuses to leave the room and give her her due dignity, Selene just smile and said, laughingly, " A Mid-wife and YOU want to leave the room while I tit-feed the baby, you've seen EVERYTHING I've got in ALL its gory glory so stick around, it won't bother me in the least, I can talk and feed a baby all at the same time you know....LOL"
Selene and the 2 girls will be heading home tomorrow, Dad is taking 6 weeks Leave to care for Selene and the family starting from yesterday and, as he said, "He IS owed another accrued 7 weeks on top of the 6 weeks, so he may just take those as well."
Oh, and both Selene and Hubby, Barry, came to an Agreement that 3 is enough so he WILL be lining up for the 'snip' as soon as everything settles down at home with the new 'additions' to their family.

What a great story.....and a boy & 2 girls, is plenty for a family.

Yes, and I can imagine that at some time soon Dad and Mum may well have what we, Henry's Mum, Dad, Grandpa and I , call the " Henry Episode" as well.
Before C-19 came along and Henry was just 3 years old, we had a barbecue Birthday Party for Henrys 3rd. Birthday.
One of Naomi's, Henry's Mum btw, friends brought her 2 month old baby daughter along.
In the midst of the Party, Baby needed changing so she proceeded to do so.
Henry, being a very curious boy, decided to watch the event.
Suddenly, with eye wide open, a shocked look on his young face, Henry yelled out, " Mum, he hasn't got a Willy, he's not finished yet."
Hence the " Henry Episode" came into being and remains with us even to this day.

@Triphid Hahahahahaha.....

@Lilac-JadeCanada Just go a most unexpected surprise and a bit of a shock as well.
Minding my own business and checking out things around my front gardens, a car pulls up at my gate, a well dressed woman wearing the same outfit as the Staff at our new Kmart Store, say to me, " Ah, just the person I'm looking for."
I must have looked quite puzzled because she then says, "You Helped to deliver twins in our Store on Tuesday morning did you not, well I'm here to Thank You and to give you something we all think you deserve."
She opens up the door of the car, hands me a complete set of Queen sized Egyptian Cotton Bedsheets and 4 Egyptian Cotton Bath Towels saying " These are for you for being in the right place, at the right time and knowing exactly what to do as well, please accept this small gift as our expression of our Gratitude."
I must have looked a real bit of dummy, just standing there not knowing what to say as she handed them to me.
I managed to get out, " No need for this, it is what I was trained to do and I'll always do, I don't do it for anything except the joy of seeing a baby born safe, sound and as healthy as possible."
"Well". she said, "like it or not, I won't be taking them back to the Store just as I told Selene about 20 minutes ago at the Hospital when I delivered to her 2 sets of new Cot Sheets, 2 new Cot Blankets, 2 sets of Baby Clothes and 2 packs Nappies for New-Born Babies as a gift from us to her new babies."
She then handed me the bundle, got into the car and drove away while giving me a very BIG smile and a wave as well.

@Triphid Lovely gesture all the same. Nice to be appreciated as well.

@Lilac-JadeCanada Yes it is nice to be appreciated, especially when it comes so unexpectedly as well.
