This is just me and i am not telling anyone else what to do, but i see people thinking this site has to be for religious talk only, meaning mostly antireligious or at least irrelegious. that's fine. others decry that, like hey we're nonbelievers, talk about anything BUT religion, folks! i find that odd but okay, you can post on any topic you like. but for ME, i like to talk about politics and i prefer to talk about it with folks who don't bring god into it, so here i am, and i am mostly talking about politics, not religion. i will respond to all manner of posts but my own initiated posts are nearly always about politics (well, okay, also cats once in a while). so for those who wonder why i, or anyone, am not using this site to talk about why religion is a bad bad thing, yeah i'm an atheist but that's why i like to talk politics here.

I have to agree that it seems very odd that the apparent number one topic on Agnostic.com is religion . Let go people .We don't care , aren't interested . On the other hand . I would be most happy never to see another Trump article for the rest of my life .

It does not bother me that people talk (non) religion here. We all live in a society that punishes non-belief, and we all suffer insult and indignity.

I read random posts everyday on here, and can happily say I have learned a lot of cool things about animals, the planets, undersea, history, etcetera.

I find lots of posts within the garders group and the dog lovers group that have little to nothing to do with religion. If you are interested in non-religious subjects, I suggest you check out the groups and find ones to join. Lots of options there.

If I post about religion, it's so people know what the faithfools are saying and doing.

Well, I hate religions and I hate politics, so, where does that leave us? 😊

Well, whether we like it or not.......they go hand in hand.

Imagine drinking Jack Daniels and eating ice cream? Lol.

Oh, I've done that and had beer with strawberry shortcake in the early morning hours for breakfast.
😊

@MrDragon Damn your certainly an original!! Not exactly something I ever thought of doing, but to each their own, which is a good thing!!

When I was a drinker one of my favorites was to mix half Guinness Stout and Heineken .

I haven't had Jack Daniels with ice cream, but I have enjoyed Haagen-Dasz Rum Raisen ice cream. Last time I looked, the store had a whole section of ice cream made with an assortment of tradtional alcoholic beverages.

whining about religion is always a sure-bet go-to for those compelled to be little bitches. sometimes folks got reason to bitch tho.

Good i love this mindset ... this site is for sharing ideas about life generally not just "religion"

Often it's the newbies who want to read & talk about religion. But after time, most of us don't want to waste any more time than necessary about make-believe shit. I'm guessing politics interests most of us way more than religion. Except now and then we have to post about the stupid stuff that religious zealots say and do. For myself, I'm a lot more interested in sex, which is why I like the Sexy Classy Photos Group and any other group that has the word "sex" in the name. And I'm thinking about starting a new group about sex for old people. (Because I'm an old people.)

I like the fact that the posts here are often varied and often irreverent, but the distinct absence of religious posts is refreshing and comforting. There are a lot of topic that interest me.

I've never been deep into politics, but if I'm going to engage in such discussion then I agree that I'd rather it be with people who don't fall back on religious talking points.

I really don't like the christians that try to come here to proselytize.
This is one of the few places on the Internet o not be constantly bombarded by that nonsense.

They're so bad at it, though, that it's almost fun to engage with them. 😉

@resserts yeah 😁

I talk politics and QAnon as to how it goes into politics and possibly why some believe it. My opinion is that they have never studied how our government works and they want things their way. OK, go to Burger King then. I'm dumbfounded by the distraction of talking about years ago in order to explain now. I don't get that. Also, gods have nothing to do with politics and we should get politicians who think otherwise out of government.

As for religion, I discuss it because I came out of it. I studied to be a preacher and it was my studies that finally convinced me that it is all made up. There are no gods. If you think otherwise then prove it by demonstration. It cannot be done. I do find religious trolls on here from time to time. Maybe they are dumb enough to think they will convert us. IDK.

Using this site as a dating site does not work for me. It might for some, but I find people on here trying to catfish me. If I do not respond right they are all so quickly gone.
