Last last night I got a piece of sausage stuck in my airway... it became such a problem that I called 911. I needed four X-rays and then I had to get a camera shoved down my throat to find the sausage and push it down to my stomach.
AND the camera bruised my throat...
Damn endoscopy.

But yeah, lucky to be alive. Choking to death is really quite common, over ten per day apparently.
