The sanctions largely resulted from the SolarWinds hacking wherein Russian hackers designed and inserted malware into a SolarWinds application update. Given the behavior of Fox, it's a safe bet that Putin is controlling Murdoch, so much of what Australians see is the same as RT.

What was happening behind the scenes with Russian attempts at interference has nothing to do with public transparency. This was the most transparent election in US history.

Trump set the stage for this fact with his pre-election day campaign. By claiming the election was rigged long in advance of the election day, he made sure the election was transparent. Every state and every election went to great pains to make everything above board and transparent. They were afraid of trump pulling the exact shenanigans that he ended up pulling.

There was NO SIGNIFICANT interference or voter from from the American public. Examples were limited and small in number. Nowhere near enough to change any state results. The BIG LIE is exactly that a big lie.
