Syria is so complicated, it's difficult to tell who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

I think protests are good in that they have been known to bring about change, but I don't think they are the only good. They are in fact only as good as the awareness of the protesters. If the protesters happen to be misinformed, protesting can be just as powerful a force for destruction as for good. A day spent at home studying can be every bit as good a contribution as a day in the streets... maybe better.

I was at the protest to the last iraq invasion in my home town of 100k . 12 people showed up . No one cares. they are all so wrapped up in their lives the idea of a million people being drastically effected by our tax dollars means nothing to them.

Protest!! It can stop wars.

Protesting is great but you can't control the outcome or the attendance. You can control if you show up to be true to your own principles. That's what I try and remind myself at least.

Remember those racists with tea bags hanging from their hats and Clown Obama posters in huge protests? They got what they wanted. Its up to us to have bigger crowds and get what we want.
