It's funny how things can change in a short time span. At the end of March I closed my former bank account because it was too expensive and I wasn't working. About 3 weeks later I got a temporary job through a job agency and I had to open a (much cheaper) current bank card. This job isn't steady/secure, but it's a beginning. I want to hold on to see where it brings me.
It gets frustrating I get it, but there are free accounts out there if you look. I prefer credit unions myself and mine has no fees unless I bounce a check which I refuse to do.
I didn't find many free accounts here. But my new account will be free until October and, from then on, it will cost €0,90 per month (which is €10,80 per year). I needed an account urgently and this was the best one. It is much cheaper than the previous one.
