SENSE & REASON
CAUSE & CONSEQUENCE

These are the only things one can rely upon. To believe in anything else is insanity in degrees. How insane are you?

Nonsense and stupidity Are just as real And probably more common. Sense and reason may suit Our egos but are no more real than foolishness. The insanity lay in believing we have learned anything more useful than fire or plumbing.

I would like to replace all four with just one - SCIENCE. I know I am biased and my messages have been confusing. I also know that people in general have one our two favorite teachers and then DO NOT LISTEN to the rest, which is making me feel a bit crazy . Is that the same as being insane?

The reason for the substitution is that science exercises all four of them AND will test how good you are at all four. It is also SHIMPLE.

In normal interaction with everyday people, science may or may not come into play. People regardless of political opinion or awareness, have to be civil.

@barjoe If you go into psychology - obviously a science because it is an 'ology', you would be surprised at how much science comes into play within politics. I would like much more, obviously and I am not saying there is ONLY science in the mind of politicians.Of course there is a degree of sleaze going on in everyone but in fact there is rubbish too. A degree in emptying the trash is also possible and it would be a science degree.

And besides the obvious benefits of science providing qualified knowledge directly. There is I would say, an even greater, if unmeasurable because it is too subjective, side benefit, which is that long familiarity with science, trains the mind into good habit and ways of thinking, even about subjective issues.

@Mcflewster I try to avoid politics. If the subject doesn't come up? Good. It's not worth arguing, not going to change anybody's mind. It's a shame science have become political. I blame religion. I find some on the left who are totally argumentative and some on the right who are really nice. I'm pretty cool with people, if they don't fuck with me. If they do...I'm just trying to just get by.

Sometimes I'm antisocial. I'm intolerant of rudeness, at which time I lash out. People are rude and nasty and then play the victim when you call them out for it.

@linxminx the ones who get me are the ones who start with 'I don't mean to be rude but..." It's at that point that I usually interject with "well fuckin' don't then..." Then there they are, all dressed up and nowhere to go 😅

@Cyklone "With all due respect" I'm going to dis you.
