Thoughts on Ancestry DNA kits and the like? My mom and gamma spent years researching every single relation to our family through the national archives back to, idk, the beginning of them... and traced back to villages in Germany. She even did my dad's Mexican family back 5 generations. I'm fortunate that I have this info but how important is it really to people. Maybe I take it for granted?

Maybe it's an atheist thing, but I don't care at all about ancestry beyond familial medical conditions.
