That is the shadow. Ha, ha.🙂

I do wish I'd have read more closely before I commented. The picture was apparently taken in China and the other panel has the Chinese space station.

Sweet but without experiencing its warmth it's just another picture.

When i lived in the country away from city lights I would note on the calendar when the station would transition across the night to the east and northeast.

That's excellent. I've spent most of my life in rural AZ so we've loved watching the sky. Have you seen the HeavensAbove site to show upcoming astronomical times?

My personal favorite was from the bottom of the Grand Canyon -- you don't realize how much light pollution there is until you somehow block it out. I've heard that some remote mountaintops as in the NW are just as spectacular but I haven't been lucky enough to be able to check.
