Feel the need to innocently upset a white Christian today? I got you.

OMG.....Jesus wasn't white and Italian!!!.

So Africans paint Jesus to look African and Europeans paint Jesus to look European.

We will never sequence God's DNA, so we'll just have to stick with the following policy:

"You can make your imaginary friends any color you want them to be"

I agree. Indian Hindus made Krishna blue because being black had a stigma in the land where the "fair and lovely cream" sells a lot. He came from a region with dark skin Hindus which is Bihar. It is the most impoverished state in the land today.

That happened before white Jesus wrote the King James version in English for the true believers.

They also evolved from Jesus, amiright?

5

That was before Jesus was crucified and was no longer a Middle Eastern Jew, after the crucifixion he became blond haired, blue eyed, Caucasian Jesus, at least according to Caucasian Christians even if they don't say it out loud.

We better be careful what we say. We might start a rumor that crucifixion causes people's skin to turn white.

You mean like Tab Hunter. Or was it Rock Hunter?

Yep. And before he sat down and wrote the King James bible in English.

"Of course Jesus was white! Every God-fearing American knows that!" - the confessions of raving lunatics.

Earliest known artist conception, not an image.

Not to be mistaken for the artist formally known as Prince. Or is it?

Good point.

You mean he didn't look like Jeffrey Hunter or Max Von Sydow? I'm shocked.
Next you'll be telling me he wasn't American.

He was born a poor black child.

Yes, it seems that when I was in Cairo the people there were a little bit darker. 🙂

I know. I was there.

I love it. It nice to see a real picture for a change. It's the Middle East. But you knew that already.

When my kids was little I always told them Jesus looked just like Snoop Dog!!🙃

Amen, thank you baby Jesus!!!🥰

He looks a little like Barack Obama.

I guess that JC and the boys were spending a lot of time hanging out at the pool, drinking Pina Coladas and chasing underage booty to get tans like that, just like middle aged white xstian males like to do. 😀

I'm onboard with pointing up the nonsense of Christianity. I can't say what's true here or not, but this examination calls into question whether this is really the earliest known depiction of Jesus and the disciples. The author of the post claims to have contacted the museum, and appears also to have done some art history sleuthing and concludes (rightly or wrongly) that this is 18th century art. They do make the useful-seeming point that if this were really the earliest known depiction that it would likely be extremely famous, require more elaborate security than it is said to have, etc.

Everyone creates god in their own image.

I get people wanting me the sculpt JC, all the time. Can't find good enough references of what he would really look like. Yet, countless Christians claim to personally witness him.

How it really was before the European Colonial Inquisitions

I still prefer the Jesus, the Jedi Master

He's kinda hot. Mind if I put him in my Hot Hunks group?

@UrsiMajor I doubt Ewan would mind

Why would this upset a white Christian? If you go to Japan, Jesus is Japanese-looking and so forth. Unless that Christian is an identitarian also, it is a non-issue.

Wait a sec, I thought they had Budda in Japan?

You obviously don't know the xtians I know

@UrsiMajor yes but there are also some Christians in Japan. Their representation of Jesus looks Japanese

@redhog that works

Well, maybe not. Check out this article. It seems that image was made in 1700’s during a period when making fake icons was at its heights. [google.com]

Thanks for the link. I hate misinformation, and I try to debunk it at every opportunity.

Wanna lie to people?
Sounds like a liberal plan.
