Homosexuality is never mentioned by Jesus and only eluded to in the bible yet Christians love to bully, oppress, and discriminate against gays.

Meanwhile, Jesus and the bible mention divorce multiple times and states that its basically adultery (which is one of the ten commandments) yet Christians never ever seem to have an issue with divorced people. I wonder how many of the teachers and administrators at that school are divorced.

But good for the students who stood up for what's right and protested the coach's firing.

Neither is abortion, mentioned, but it doesn't stop the Bible thumpers from trying to impose their theocracy on us on that issue either. They have more in common with the Taliban than with patriotism for America, but they will never see it, much less admit it.

"Christians never ever seem to have an issue with divorced people"
Not so, my late writing partner and his second wife had to go through all sorts of hoops in order to get married. Both were from devout Christian (RC) families and were outright refused the right to marry in an RC church, until
A) Both their previous marriages were "Clerically" annulled (for her this was easy as her first marriage had been to a Japanese man and carried out in a "Heathen" Shinto ceremony. For him, it was very painful and meant his having to have his first wife agree to signing a public declaration of her infertility. A horrible experience all round.)
B) Them both having to perform penance
and
C) Long and extremely personal interviews with the "Father" to determine their worthiness

@LenHazell53 Sorry but that doesn't even come close to being legally denied the right to marry, getting fired for being gay, having protestors march in protest against your rights and demonizing your right to even exist, being attacked, beaten, or even murdered because you're gay.

What your friend experienced was an inconvenience.

@Charles1971 I never said it did

Can't have those queer people teaching and coaching kids. Have to make room for all the hetero child molesters who are already teaching them.

Love the photo from Monty Python's LIfe Of Brian, where John Cleese played the smug pharisee who is condemning a man to death for uttering the name Jehovah. The man then explains himself and protests his innocence while uttering the name again, while Cleese tells him "You're only making it worse on yourself!" To which the man then says, "How can I make it worse on myself? You've already sentenced me to death by stoning." He then begins kicking up sand and yelling the name Jehovah, over and over, mocking the Cleese character..
