I don't care if they do or don't. It carries as much weight as saying "I'll scratch my ass for you."

Though... at least scratching your ass is useful.

Some do, I'm sure, or at least have you in their thoughts for at least a fleeting moment of time. Some likely just write or say it because it's an expected platitude and also makes them seem godly or spiritual.

I don't know...it's kind of like when someone says "you look great", or "hope you have a nice day". Do they really mean that? Maybe they do at the time.

If I tell you either one of those things I mean it.
