FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

Hope you have seen this.

Better late than never I do not want to miss the bus. My grandparents, parents missed the 1st industrial revolution while they were busy just making a living in the forsaken place overseas, I missed 2nd and 3rd with accounting, finance which are just back office functions. I worked hard but it did not break out.

They explain here what the "Fourth Industrial Revolution" is that is mixing human life and technology like digitally printed body parts, robot customer service, tellers etc. It is going to occupy every part of our life. You will not need lawyers because artificial intelligence (AI) will be perfectly capable of telling the law, its interpretation, its case laws and predict the right outcome. The supreme courts will be something like IBM's Watson.

It is fascinating stuff.

G. Harry Stine wrote about what he believed to be the Third Industrial Revolution, except it wasn't computers and IC, but rather about becoming a space-faring civilization. As for bionics being the 4th IR, I register my skepticism. It is more likely to be the emergences and use of AI.
