Watching the ‘Mayor Pete” documentary on Amazon Prime. I was so bummed out when he quit the race. But he is getting a lot of exposure as Transportation Secretary, especially with the infrastructure bills. If he can get things working and use the money wisely and visibly, it may make him a viable candidate for a higher office. Stepping stones to another run for president!

I respect him, BUT the US isn't ready for a gay President. In fact, I'm not sure we are ready for a female president. Color me sad.
Nice metaphor. Because I am “colored ready”, I “color you” as saying you are not ready.
@yvilletom I'm ready
Kamala will likely be the nominee for 2024 and I doubt Pete will run against her. If she wins then figure two terms. That would be a hard win for another Dem but 2036 might be a good time for Pete to run. If Kamala loses then there will likely be no more elections to worry about.
If Kamala doesn’t do something, or a bunch of things, to get her numbers up, she will be very vulnerable in 2024 primaries. I am sorely amazed at how very little press she gets, and how negative most of that is. I like her and think she has a lot to offer. But in these times of elections by media coverage, she will need to do a whole lot more positive exposure over the next couple of years.
@Barnie2years Lots of time before 2024, and they've been busy, but those are good points. I think Pete would like to run but won't if she does.
@Barnie2years I read that Jen confirmed Joe is running again and Pete will not run against him for sure.
@rainmanjr at his age, a lot could change in next three years.
