Maintain the deception, maintain the indoctrination, continue the discrimination, the hypocrisy, the delusion, the madness.

We don't need it, there are already laws in place for religious discrimination. What we need it laws that stop the so called religious churches and other institution to discriminate against those who don't fit their narrative.

We KNOW that BUT try telling that a Faithnut like ScumMo, all they ever do is see themselves as being persecuted.

@Triphid It will just strengthen the discrimination against minority groups by the religious fanatics.

To blazes with ScumMo to blazes with his religious discrimination bill and how it WILL discriminate against ALL others who ARE NOT religious.
Another ScumMO ploy to get the Faithfools on his side now that his innumerable Lies and Deceits have come to light, imo.

BAD idea, in oh so many ways.

What harm is done by allowing religious organizations to own and operate school systems, hospitals and care homes, staffed exclusively by members of their faith, so long as they don’t accept public funds?

There is potential for a great deal of harm.

That's always been the problem with all religion and religious institutions.
They're always claiming persecution. All the while, they use their beliefs as a cudgel with which to beat anyone they consider less than them.
They scream discrimination, yet they feel quite free to discriminate against others in the name of their "beliefs".
Give them an inch and they'll take ten miles.

Australia is going to do what they're going to do, but granting religious institutions more freedom to discriminate is going to be a disaster.

@KKGator Looks like they’re learning from the US.

@CuddyCruiser That's no lie.
Seems like the whole damned world is picking up way too much of our bad behavior.

@CuddyCruiser Sadly and unfortunately I think you are100% correct with your assumption.

@KKGator I don’t know how Australia’s constitution compares to the United States’, but I gather that there is less of a ‘hands off’ approach toward religion?

@p-nullifidian Never having been there, and being unfamiliar with their Constitution, I really couldn't say.

I would suggest posing the query to some of our Aussie members.

In Australia they receive more public funding than public schools now. And are usually paying no taxes.

@p-nullifidian supposed to be a secular dociety - one that has compulsory voting & no constitutionally based equal rights of citizens.
