Even though I'm agnostic, I like to go to religious events sometimes. I like being around people who are pursuing wisdom, plus I enjoy metaphysical speculation. Does anyone else do this?

I mean, I don't believe Jesus was the son of god, if there is one...but he was a great philosopher...not half as good as Plato, imo, but on a similar level

No.

I suggest that there are far better ways to pursue wisdom. What wisdom one finds among all the religions is narrow, limited, and absolutist, thus it is not real wisdom but wise thoughts that fit within the constraints of religion.

No way. I find it almost intolerable to be around the religious. I cannot help but see how they are deluding themselves. I like being around people who are pursuing wisdom and truth, but I don't see any of that at religious events.

Yes. As a theist I seek to have conversations with people of all faiths and people of no faith. I find it fascinating to hear others world view.
