Your mouse is wily.
Your mouse is wise.
So treasure it highly
For all that it buys.
It helps you meet people
And make them your pals.
On dating sites
It helps men meet gals.
Here at Agnostic
Your mouse is supreme,
For meeting great people
And (just maybe) your dream!
So don't be a rat
To the mouse in your hand.
Fondle it gently
And life can be grand.
There's an irreverent on-line computer site called "theregister.co.uk" that refers to iPads and their ilk as "fondle slabs".
“Fondle” makes it sound a little “dirty” ??
It's such a funny word ?
@Emme @LaMariposa I love the English language for its marvellous variety of words - many of which are, sadly, little unused. Also, I love the play on words found in some Limericks, such as this one by an unknown genius:-
An ardent young fisher, named Fisher,
Went fishing for fish, in a fissure,
But a fish with a grin
Pulled the fisherman in.
Now they're fishing the fissure for Fisher.
@Emme This is a book i read, aged 10, and it has stuck in my mind ever since. If you ever get a chance, PLEASE do read it. It is a superb example of combined wit and pathos, written by a master of the English language. [en.wikipedia.org]
