How a Pastor Stole a $25,000.00 Open Bank Cheque During Dinner in Member's House

A Successful Nigerian couple invited the Pastor of their Church for dinner in their home in California, United States of America.

After the Pastor left, the couple realized their cheque had disappeared. The man said to his wife; “I think the Pastor has stolen the $25,000.00 open bank check that I kept here on the table of which I had the intention to give to him”.

Angrily his wife exclaimed; “Hmmmm! All of them are just the same. If they are not fake, they are thieves. There is no need to invite him again, we shall from henceforth be attending another Church”.

Two Months Later, the woman met the Pastor on a certain street and was courageous enough to face him and said: “Good morning Pastor, you have surely realised that we no longer attend Church, this is because we're angry with you. The day you ate in our house, there was a $25,000.00 open bank check on the table but unfortunately it disappeared while we we're eating. You were the only Person who visited our house at that time”.

The Pastor said to her, “Yes, I took the cheque. I put it in your Bible to avoid spilling the sauce on it”.

The woman got so confused and asked the Pastor to forgive her.

Back in her house, she took up the Bible and found the bank check which had been there for two months.

This meant that for two months, she had not opened her bible. For two months, she and her husband falsely accused the innocent Pastor. For two months, the incident had tortured them unnecessarily.

How many times do we suspect and accuse other people without reasonable proof, evidence or testimony?

How many times do you wrongly give someone a bad name?

How many times do you misinterpret the actions of a brother or sister that means well for you?

Lesson: if you think your brother has offended you..tell him....ask him...iron it out....do not harbour a grudge or hold a beef for nothing.

Let us use this period of joy to settle our differences and assumptions.

Was waiting for the punch line, or at least some indication from OP that they realized what a dumbass glurgy story this was.

But apparently OP either thinks this is a valid, useful story, or thinks we are dumb.

who gets $25,000 stolen from them and says nothing for two months? such a bullshit story and not even close to believable. This must be a person who thinks she is doing the work of jebus. But I guess the fact that she is obviously pushing lies is forgiven by her invisible friend in the sky.

Then after attending that church for years their son tells them he no longer wants to go to church because the priest has been raping him....
News flash the only people I know who actually read the bible decided it was a bunch of horseshit and left the Christian religion....

Stupid is as stupid does.

I wish these people would stop trying to convert us with these things they think are deep, meaningful stories.

This is mind pablum.

@Gwendolyn2018 All the posts so far have been simpleminded nonsense and this I am sure was cut and pasted from a foreign religious site....

@Gwendolyn2018 The profile and this post confirms it.... The poster claims to live in LA California but this post refers to an "open bank check" instead of a "cashiers check." like an American would...

@Gwendolyn2018 This particular post has been very popular on Assbook and other sites if you look it up on google you will get thousands of hits on it. All four of this scammers posts have been simpleminded trash that has been used here a thousand times before by these types....
It would be nice if we could at least get one with something original instead of the same recycled shit over and over again...

@Gwendolyn2018 I just tell them I can always smell their stench....

Same theme, but this one might actually make you smile.

better, and much less convoluted story.

Why was this person touching their money at all? The check was inside their home. He had no right to fuck around with their money. And in this story he had no idea what it was for. Medical treatment? House downpayment? They’d have been fucked because of this dumbass. The moral of this story is that religion blinds you to ethics. Or maybe it’s that a good Christian always blames the victim. Or maybe it’s that deep down, everybody knows that religious leaders are often charlatans so it was not a leap to suspect the man of thievery. Or maybe it’s a lesson in how damaging it is to give randos so much power over you that you would never think to report them to the police when you think they have criminally victimized you. In any case: hard pass.

I don't understand this story at all. If they intended to give it to him, why were they so upset that he took it? If they didn't intend to give it to him, why did they not question him right away? Or stop payment on the check? And why was the check anywhere near the food?

I do think it speaks well of them, though, that they aren't reading the bible. That stuff will really mess you up.

@Gwendolyn2018 I agree and one that failed miserably. It only pointed out that the supposed Christians never read their Bible!

@Gwendolyn2018 & @misstuffy

I do agree with you both. I was simply failing at some sarcasm. Oops.

This is just a jargon write up with no simple logic to back it up.

What period of joy?

Yea, WTF is this period of joy.
Funny story about hypocrisy though.

Maybe Joy is having her period?.... Just sayin....
