I feared that getting older might scare me into some ridiculous religious fake beliefs. Suck it up, Evangelicals. It didn’t happen.

Exactly! I don’t respond well to attempts to control/manipulate...which is how too many evangelicals come across. It feels like an abusive relationship!

LOL! I did a survey of religions looking to find a social outlet. Ended up joining a board game meetup group and got much better results

I am a counselor. It is interesting to me that I see many more religious patients who are afraid of dying than I do atheists with that same fear. Funny the God Club members think their faith is a comfort. Odd that it doesn't seem to work out that way for so many of them. Is it that, despite their claims they can't fully believe their own religious fable, or is it that they have scared themselves with the whole "Hell" fantasy?
