Well I might be a wee on the tired and weary side atm, but today was a good day and went well.
Had a 9.00 am appointment at the Hospital for Physiotherapy, got a surprise because things, recovery wise are going better than the Therapist expected, that visit lasted until approx. 9.50, then had a bit of a wait before getting an Echo-Cardio-gram done, poor technician nearly had a heart-attack himself when he discovered that I have a regular ectopic beat that occurs in my pulse after every 15th heart-beat.
Poor bloke, said nothing, stepped out of examination room, was gone for a few minutes then came back with this Specialist in tow.
Then came the explanation that I reckon I have given to every Doctor for the 40 + years, they went through the read-out, checked my pulse, etc, etc, and then, finally decided to continue on the Echo-Cardiogram as if nothing was happening.
Left the hospital about an hour later, got a cab to one of the Shopping Centres mainly to get my Covid Booster shot done, then went through the mandatory 15 minutes of sitting quietly, which gave me time to decide what I would treat myself to for an early lunch, after that replenished a few things for the larder, caught another cab home, brought the shopping inside, sat down and let myself catch up with myself for about 10 minutes, put everything away, then took a quick refreshing shower because after the steady rain the last few days the air is steamy and you can raise a sweat by just thinking about do a bit of work . Other than that, and moving much slower than I would normally, I reckon I had a darned good day.

You had a full day and ended up tired and happy. Can't complain about that. 🙂

And, now that my right side has recovered enough, also had the 4 prong walking stick adjusted for usage on the right instead not the left vas before..
Waking is much easier and safer now.

@Triphid Safe is good, easier is better. Who knows, you just might be running a marathon next year. 😉

@Betty LOL, even against a snail, a slug and a geriatric garden worm I'd still come in last place.
Ever since my right femur was broken in December, 1973, I have told that when I TRY to run I closely resemble either a very lame duck or a badly constipated Emu.

@Triphid Well...we'll just have to enroll you in the Para-Olympics. lol

That is wonderful news. Thanks for sharing it.

Sounds like things are going well, & steadily for you.

well the ectopic heart beat was detected way back in 1972 when being the ONLY male in a class of newbie Trainee Nurses I was volunteered to be the "training dummy" for examinations such as doing Admission and regular observations such as Blood Pressure, Temperature, Pulse and the like, NO boobs so no embarrassed young female trainees, well that WAS the idea of course.
The kerfuffle that "discovery caused way back then would be kind of akin, perhaps, to an Archaeologist finding a M16 rifle in with the skeleton of a 100,000 year old human being.
It seems that approx. 1 in every 200,000 people are born with and are living quite normally and happily with this ectopic heart beat.
But as for the rest, things seem to be traveling along steadily, touch wood as they say.

@Triphid I meant your stroke recovery.

@Lilac-JadeCanada Oh sorry, yes it seems like that though yesterday took a bit of me BUT I did enjoy my treat of HOT freshly cooked potato chips and gravy plus a wonderful Iced Coffee Milk shake to wash it all down.
Come next Groceries Day a similar "treat" may well be on the menu.

@Triphid Sounds good to me.

@Lilac-JadeCanada LOVE my chips and gravy, that Cafe makes the very best Chips and Gravy in town.

@Triphid I make my own.

@Lilac-JadeCanada Me too, love them, but the gravy they serve with them is very special and they will NOT tell how they make it. Yes they make almost everything they sell at the Cafe themselves.

@Triphid I do love a good gravy.
