Horrible things happen in the absence of coffee!

On my last vacation, there was a power outage that lasted all morning. I couldn't boil water or brew coffee. I had gotten a good night's sleep, but after breakfast, without caffeine, I was beginning to feel like I hadn't slept at all.

Fortunately, a neighbor had a backpacker's (propane) Jetboil. I knocked on his door with a gallon of drinking water for him and a cup of ground coffee for me. He was able to boil a cup of water for me in less than a minute.

Power outages are common on the island. Next time I go, I'm going to keep a jar of brewed coffee in the refrigerator for emergencies. I'll drink it cold if necessary - and prevail over the forces of darkness.

I love coffee and drink it only twice a week or so. I drink coffee because my mother insisted I have coffee with her and she knew at the time that I did not drink coffee. Strange but true story.

Well coffee certainly has more power than the sky fairy…

Ohh how do you think it prefacet man who's powerful

When I was too young, I saw The Exorcist and it traumatized me. For a month afterward I was sure every little noise I heard were devils coming to get me. I believe I was 13 at the time. As an adult, I've seen many, many horror movies. I love a good horror movie. The most disturbing one I've ever seen is the 2013 remake of The Evil Dead -- a movie about demonic possession. it's 10,000X more gory, brutal and terrifying than The Exorcist and it didn't bother me at all. There was no trauma, no nightmares, and no sleepless nights. I loved it.

The Exorcist is so tame by comparison to many horror movies of today that, I can't believe ppl still find it scary.

That being said, I like coffee too.
