Finland (see attached photo message) seems to have smarter politics than the U.S. by "persuading" the wealthy to contribute to the common good. Why can't we do that?

That's why the Finns are the happiest people on earth.
Here's what a wealthy Californian pays in taxes:
Federal tax rate: 37%
State tax rate: 12.3%
So, right off the bat, the wealthy Californian is paying 49.3% (almost half) of his income to the government.
Then you can tack on property taxes, taxes on utilities, taxes on gasoline, and it's well over half.
They are already being "persuaded" to pay way over half what they make the the common good.
How much is enough for you people?
