It has been raining steadily, not hard but consistent, since about 5.00 am this morning.
Predictions are for us to cop about 45 mms (almost 2 inches via the old measurements)out of this lot, the paved lane out front of my house has about 1 inch depth of water flowing down it in a stream about inches wide in places, got a quick glance over the fence in to Evangelfools' yard and I reckon another 3 -4 hours of this steady rain will create for him, IF he were home that is, a nice boggy mire in the front of his property and his own personal and private Southern States of the U.S. Swamps in the backyard because a quick look and estimate there tells me that water levels where he removed the original ground level to as they now are is about 6-8 inches in depth and rising as more run-off comes in from his blocked, diverted and overflowing gutterings around his house.
Plus, and did NOT notice it before now, he has LEFT or someone may have forced it open some time in the last week, a window facing in the direction of my house and in the direction from which this welcome rain is coming and, as per usual and REFUSING to listen to advice, he refused to expend the effort to make, fit and secure veranda type awnings above and over to partial cover and exclude the harsh glaring summer sun and give a bit of shade to an otherwise sunlit hot rooms,
Well that room will be cool now because the rain seems to be having no problems getting in through the wide open window at present.

Oh yeah, I know it sounds quite cruel but I'd love to be standing next to him to see his face as he discovers the smelly, soggy mess that was his property.

@Triphid Maybe he'll find something swimming in his front yard. Something that bites.

@Betty Now, now you would not wish such a misfortune upon such an innocent creature like a snake, spider, etc, etc, would you?

@Triphid I don't like spiders and snakes, although I was hoping for something bigger to greet him. lol

@Betty A nice hungry Crocodile swimming in his backyard "lake" perhaps, one that has NOT eaten for about 2 months at least.

@Triphid Perfect. lol

Won't the mould be a welcoming home coming for him. Blurgh!

Especially since that room also contains, if memory serves correct from my visits to the house during my childhood/teenage days, an in-floor grating that leads directly down to the cellar in the house as well.
And the "perfume" exuding from the soggy and rotting carpets, bedding, etc, etc, as well.

Precisely and should he be looking for sympathy I will inform him that it can be found in ANY dictionary between shit and syphillis as well.

@Triphid Probably can't spell.
