As someone who is legally blind, I am very much looking forward to when level 5 self driving cars become available for purchase. However, I would not buy a Tesla, because they do not use Lydar systems, which means they will not be as safe as other cars that do use them.

Elon Musk may have led the charge for electric cars, but he is too full of himself to admit when he is wrong. Pretty much every crash of a Tesla car while in self driving mode, could have beem prevented with a Lydar system. Yet Musk thinks Lydar is unnecessary and refuses to consider that he may be wrong.

When level 5 self driving cars go on the market, Tesla will lose market chare because the cars are not as safe as those being developed by other car companies.

As of yet, I do not know what Musk means by "free speech", or how much freedom he intends to allow, other than it will be more than Trumps Truthsocial, which doesn't allow any criticism of Trump or republicans... not that their network ever at any time really had 100% functionality. It's been a disaster.
