Governments partnering with Big Tech didn’t help us fight COVID-19, but it did give tech companies a “once-in-a-generation” opportunity to seize our sensitive data.

We are awash in sooo many conspiracy theories and they all purport that science is not real and the government is corrupt. Puleeze.

You clearly didn’t look at the site, or even take the time to read the article……so why open your mouth….
@Buck I did start to read it but it is like sooo many other articles that claim sort of relevancy because the name implies such. Also, perhaps it might be a good idea to read the sites rules on the proper form of communication. When people resort to direct name calling they have lost their argument!
It does absolutely no good to “start” reading an article!!

@Buck Some of us don't need to read a full article/book to get what its full meaning. There are tons of 'fake' news articles that purport to have science and history on their side. What's often missing is a sense of reason.
What I have seen and heard many times the reason we are where we are is because some people were led to believe their personal 'freedoms' trump others health and life. The virus spread and mutated thanks to not enough getting vaccinated. The fact of mutation, even with antibiotics is directly due to not killing off the harmful bacteria. This has happened through not understanding the importance of using the full dosage over the full time. The same applies to viruses and not taking proven vaccines means more room to mutate. I am not a medical scientist/researcher but this is proven technology (for 5 hundred years) and is not that complicated.

The US has a fascist, authoritarian, "Monopoly Capitalism" problem.
State Monopoly Capitalism:
“The main Marxist–Leninist thesis is that big business, having achieved a monopoly or cartel position in most markets of importance, fuses with the government apparatus. A kind of financial oligarchy or conglomerate therefore results, whereby government officials aim to provide the social and legal framework within which giant corporations can operate most effectively.” - Wikipedia
Basically this is favoring the rich and not holding them accountable, even for egregious crimes, while controlling the people using low wages, prison for non-violent crimes and small infractions, and while suppressing their vote and protests. Either wealth will be regulated for the benefit of the people or the people will be regulated to serve wealth.

@PapPap FYI, I get numerous phone calls and messages, etc, etc, both on-line and my home phone from scammers in Kenya at least 4 times per week.
Now WHEN it comes to phone calls I can and do utilize a thing called " Trace Back" which allows me to back-track the call to its point of origin and Surprise, Surprise up pops the International Zone code for, you guessed it, KENYA.
So would you, perhaps like me to activate "Back Track" and see if the server you are utilizing has a matching number with those I already have?
