I haven't blocked anyone, so I just ignore those posts and anything posted by this person.

While I believe in free speech, I believe it should end when it comes to disinformation, lies that harm others. Saying the stupidity out loud once is enough, no need for him to continue spamming the site with it.

While I believe most of us here on this site are rational and can spot the BS, I do worry about the newcomers who come to this site thinking we are likely thoughtful human beings who want what is best for humanity and have (usually) polite discussions while sharing our ideas... Then they come upon that stupid BS and see nobody is shutting him down, so they might either believe it (no probably not) or leave the site thinking we allow wackos and they don't want to be a part of that.

I also keep in mind that our posts are public, so anyone doing a search on various subjects discussed here can come across those disinformation posts and wonder if that is what we are all about.

Something that makes me question my membership here once in a while is all the super offensive photos and misogynistic sexist posts by certain individuals. Very much lacking in taste... Yes free speech and I just scroll on past while being disgusted.

It's posts like those mentioned that keep me from advertising the fact I participate in this site. I don't want my friends and acquaintances to think I enjoy all the junk posts, when what I enjoy is the thoughtful ones.
