Here's a sick and perverse way to start your Sunday:

Twas’ 24 days into the month of May,
When 19 beautiful children stormed through Heaven’s gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy; they didn’t know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
“Where are we,” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
“This is heaven,” declared a small boy. “We’re spending the rest of eternity at God’s house.”
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But Jesus, their Savior. The children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them one at a time by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only Heaven can bring.
Those children all flew into the arms of their King of Kings.
And as they lingered in the warmth of His great BIG embrace,
One small girl turned and looked at Jesus face to face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had,
He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of Mom and Dad.”
Then He looked down on Earth, at the world far below.
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow and woe.
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
“Let My power and presence re-enter this land!
May this country be delivered from the hands of fools.
I’m taking back my nation. I’m taking back my schools!”
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
“Come now my children let me show you around.”
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran;
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
“In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT.”

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The only difference between the two fairy tales are the words.

Cruel!

Disgusting BS that ignores the pain of those left behind.

I am 70 years old...I was raised Roman Catholic...this is the kind of "made up, mind numbing, Christian campaign, BULL SHIT that I was subjected to for the first 16 years of my life. I realized just how phony it was when the person spewing this kind of garbage would tell the same story differently each time he(or she) told it. By the way you will notice that the "author"(if you can call them that with a straight face) has conveniently left out the "culling process"...you know...the part where if you weren't "Baptized"...you go to PURGATORY...if you have any LGBTQ thoughts running through your brain...you BURN IN HELL...if you happen to be of ANY FAITH other than CHRISTIAN...FIRE PIT FOR YOU...and if you are AGNOSTIC or ATHEIST...BURN BABY BURN...I gave up being suckered in to this LAME ASS PILE OF CRAP back in 1968. It is a pity that we have to have it thrown in our faces ... But the good part about this site is, we can call it for what it really is on...HORSESHIT. Whoever wrote it, needs HELP...

Those are the palest and blondest Latino children that I ever saw and I have spent many years living in Latin America. This was White Hate Crime at its Worst - Wake The Fuck Up!
White Wash Xstian Bull Shit.

Good on you for noticing the bias reflected in the graphic (it had not occurred to me), but wasn't the Uvalde shooter a Hispanic kid?

I need an "enraged" button for bullshit like this.

7

Taking "Thoughts and prayers" to a truly sickening extreme.

7

Fucking Horrible!!!!!!!!

7

As I understood it in the religion of my youth only 2 or 3 would have stormed Heaven's gate while the rest would have gone the other way..."Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14 KJV.

7

Pablum. Opium. Sick fantasy.

6

Leave it to the Christians to romanticize their failures and death of the innocent. They are sick, disgusting idiots.

6

Maybe you can see if some church wants this. It's not for me.

6

SICK!

This is one of the most disgusting things I have ever read.

So why don't all these people volunteer to be the targets at a shooting range. They would be doing themselves and us a big favor.

If you kill yourself, you don't get to go. Don't you know that little caveat they needed to add in there? Otherwise, every single Christian could/would/should commit suicide immediately.

@ChestRockfield They're not killing themselves, others are. People are experts at bending the rules especially religious ones.

@ChestRockfield That was added in by humans, after so many women and slaves were committing suicide in order to obtain the reward of heaven. It was such a problem that human clergy added it in as it was nowhere in the original texts.

@misstuffy I said added in. I know they're self-serving opportunists.

NRA religious shit. If the children did go to this heaven, they wouldn't have a voice and they would be used as target practice.

So, killing children before they are "accountable" guarantees their entrance into heaven. Now I see why the gun crazy lunatics kill children. Sounds just like the NRA and gun lobbyists justification of their part in the murders.

@Beachslim7 I never thought he was a Christian or not.

I said: "Sounds just like the NRA and gun lobbyists justification of their part in the murders. "

They play to their Christian base.

YIKES! I was not able to read the whole thing. I will not be surprised if this shows up on my FB page posted by my one republican trump supporting "friend" and if course I'm sure my twin would just love it.
No idea who wrote it but it is a disgusting piece of crap💩💩🤬.

Where'd you find this sick shit at?

Well, God loves guns, and the cost of those guns is bunches and bunches of dead little children. Also, heaven needs tons of groups of 72 virgins, so two birds, one stone right?
That, or all of this is bullshit, our gun laws are fucked, and Christians/Republicans need to be forced to own the fact that their dumb fuckin' beliefs and policies will needlessly result in countless dead children.

CHRISTIANS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS?????...ummmm...NOPE..."The Devil made them do it"

The idea that the slain are "in a better place now" is supposed to assuage the pain of loss, to take the edge off, as it were. I am all for minimizing suffering. But I think in this case it is better to feel that pain keenly, and let it spur us all to rectify the great wrong that is the root cause of the tragedy: too easy access to guns in general, and weapons of war in particular.

@Beachslim7 Becsuse if he had let the parent in, then he (the policeman) would have had to go in too. And he didn't want to do that. 🐔

@Flyingsaucesir One woman was braver than the cops. despite their efforts to detain her, she managed to get in and get both of her kids out. I admire her, she was one fearless gutsy woman, can say the same for the cops who even had weapons, She didnt have any!

@misstuffy It just goes to show, a good guy with a gun doesn't necessarily stop a bad guy with a gun.

How about NOT letting the bad guy have a gun?

@Flyingsaucesir So true!

You're right. "Taking the edge off" is a tempting impulse, but maybe we would be better served by taking the worst of the horror head on so we actually do something.

The most remarkable aspect in regards to this drivel is that so many of the indoctrinated actually believe it and take comfort in it . Common sense is not part of their thought process.

1

This is pretty sick. I read the whole thing, hoping to find some wisdom in it. But it's all just religious bullshit.

0

Well, that's one way to spin the violent murder of innocent children into a pro-god cheer. I can only imagine what sort of religion-twisted mind would write something like this.

0

Gets more revolting every time I read it:

"Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy; they didn’t know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day."

So, it sounds like they were relieved of the memory of being murdered. How thoughtful! They were free to be the happy, smiling victims of a massacre and didn't know a thing about it.

Here's a thought; let's leave the assault weapons to Heaven, since anyone slaughtered will just wake up happy and oblivious, and we on Earth will know nothing about it.

So now that the word "sick" by current Gen XYZ vernacular is redefined as something cool or groovy, just as Michael Jackson changed the definition of "bad". And that is so "dope". Babal On.
This poem is merely a story to reduce children's anxiety. I would not do it in this manner & it does not belong in our publicly funded failed, unequal educational system. I have no animosity towards anyone who believe in fantasy. I just do not wish to be forced into their beliefs via the government or corporation or family or friends.
As I have always been an atheist as were my parents, I hold no hostility towards those who adhere to fantasy. I never suffered at their hands but history is filled with those that did, do & will.

what we have here is a failure to communicate. his tongue is in his cheek
