Basically Washington is using the same propaganda and lies to justify their war against Russia as they did in Vietnam and Iraq before. Both of those were catastrophic fails, and this one will be too. With the added bonus that not only will Ukraine be destroyed ("We had to destroy the village in order to save it." ) we might get a global nuclear war as an extra bonus. Thanks for reminding us about the shit right-wingers believe.

In this case, the right wingers are right. Strange world eh?

@Druvius If you want to believe lies that's your business. If you want to repeat lies it becomes my business. No, the right-wingers are lying.

@BitFlipper I'm not a right winger, and yeah, they live in a fantasy world. I'm also against war and think every effort should be made to avoid it, and end it if it starts. The US is manifestly doing the opposite, while fantasizing that if we just give Ukraine enough weapons, they will win an unwinnable war against a nuclear adversary. This is madness.

@Druvius so, being anti-war, how do you feel about standing by and idly watching an aggressive country decimate and innocent country? If you are anti-violence, would you step in and stop a brutal person from beating up and innocent person?

False. In this case, the cons support Putin because they believe he is an anti-democratic authoritarian, which may or may not be true. Funding this war is a losing proposition for everyone and opposition to such funding is an anti-war position.

Creating "facts" ahead of evidence, R Ya?

No, that's what Washington and the MSM are doing.

We're not at war with Russia.

Arming a belligerent is an act of war, not to mention things like sanctions and such. Call it a proxy war, but the US is definitely waging war on Russia.

I take the position that any war investment should only be toward settlement negotiations. Any other outcome will be undesirable or unsustainable.

Yes, that's one of the most horrible things about modern America, diplomacy is simply off the table. It's not going to end well, though a tiny number of already obscenely rich people will get richer.
