Islam is the religion I probably know the least about, but I’m pretty sure all major world religions are complex enough for followers to find justification for violence or peace, as suits their individual temperament.

Taking up any either/or, dichotomous position toward any religion is as unrealistic as taking a dichotomous attitude toward political correctness itself.

At pc’s base is a sincere desire to avoid discriminating against an entire class of people because of a few bad actors. But as always, there are people who take it to absurd lengths. Then, those with conservative leanings take the opposite, absurd extreme and vilify any and every instance of thoughtful compensation for the oppression of minorities. It’s tribal turtles all the way down. Murray impresses me as just this type of brittle dichotomist. He’s not wrong about a lot of stuff, but I would never mistake him for an overly compassionate soul.

I’m not embarrassed to err on the side tolerance. Where I’m proven wrong, I’ll accept the hits.

I despise Islam and its followers. All of them are as empty headed as their religion is of intelligence (just like Xtians, Judaism, and all other dogmatic religions). I would ban them from migrating to America because religion is toxic, not because of nationality, just as I would ban any religion from entry.

If the rest of the world would just get on board with hating all religions like most of the people on this site they wouldn't have to worry about that.
