A fair enough call. And if option "2" proves to be correct, by fuck I want to see heads roll.

The SARS-CoV-2 is a variance of SARS virus from 2004. It had a low R factor and never became a global pandemic until the 2019 mutation. The COVID vaccine could've been out even earlier because the Oxford vaccine was basically developed in 2005 and they knew it would only prevent deadly symptoms and would never be 100% protection against viral infection. Adenovirus vector vaccine was ready to go by 2006 but wasn't needed. [cell.com] [nature.com]
Worthy of investigation and like I said, if covid-19 variant escaped from a lab after being strengthened after gain of function research, heads should roll.
@barjoe irrelevant what you or I believe. Worthy of investigation so we don't have to believe anything because we will know instead.
This pandemic has disrupted, shortened and ruined many lives. There are biological protocols which if broken, constitute a crime against humanity. Is an investigation and enforcement of existing laws too much to ask?
But ffs, don't let SCOTUS run proceedings.
@puff COVID-19 is SARS which obviously mutates. H1N1 mass pandemic of 1918-19 killed more than 25 million people globally and was called Spanish Flu. It reappeared in 2009 H1N1 was referred to as the swine flu also called a Novel virus but it was a variance of the Spanish flu. A vaccine was distributed which I received. It was a nasty one but not nearly as bad as 1918.
