The only way you can mention "all men are created equal" and "merciless Indian savages" in the same breath is if you think only white people are people.

That declaration, like all congressional resolutions, is the product compromise.

Problem is many white people believe all who aren't white aren't equal and are still able to say they believe in the Constitution and all that crap about "all men are created equal", etc..

Every one of the men who wrote "all men are created equal" also owned slaves for themselves, this giving the lie to their hallowed declaration. Only hypocrites would quote such a fallacy laden document in order to promote their personal agenda.
Reasonable men (I use the word to describe all humankind, not a particular gender) would bring the declaration up to date, to comply with societal changes.

@MsHoliday Absolutely true!!

@Gwendolyn2018 "Man" is a collective noun, just as flock is a collective noun. Do not confuse language with gender.

@Petter 🙄 oh brother…..

...but Blacks, other non-Whites, and Women DON"T vote. Which is why the US is an empty shell.

@MsHoliday on paper and in certain states at least.

@Gwendolyn2018 try telling that to an Englishman.

@Redheadedgammy I speak British, not American, English.
