Commentary from Jeff Childers at 'Coffee & Covid' -
Remember how Moderna and Pfizer always said that their mRNA platforms were so great because they could just quickly reprogram them to mint new variant-specific versions of their vaccines whenever we needed them? And how the president of Pfizer said in December that they’d have an Omicron-specific version out as soon as January or February?

And then nothing happened?

I’ve wondered several times on the blog about where those promised variant-specific vaccines were hiding. Well, a new study seems to provide some answers. The bottom line is, the new versions are here but they DON’T WORK.

The study, quietly published earlier this year, bears the somewhat opaque title, “mRNA-1273 or mRNA-Omicron boost in vaccinated macaques elicits comparable B cell expansion, neutralizing antibodies and protection against Omicron.” It weighs in at a blockbuster 66 authors, including NIAID and NIH scientists.
The researchers compared the rates of waning antibodies in monkeys after being vaccinated with the original mRNA jab to the rate of waning antibodies after vaccination with the variant-specific version. They were surprised to find that there was no additional benefit from the new vaccine version over the original, even though the monkeys in both groups were infected with Omicron and not the original Wuhan strain.

They concluded, “Significant and equivalent control of virus replication in lower airways was observed following either boost.”

So that wasn’t good for business, and explained why we haven’t seen any variant-specific versions. But then things got even more interesting. The 66 authors invoked OAS, original antigenic sin, as a LIKLEY potential explanation for why the newer drugs don’t work against the new variants. Likely.
The observation that boosting with either mRNA-1273 or mRNA-Omicron resulted in the expansion of a similarly high frequency of cross-reactive B cells likely stems from the principle of original antigenic sin, otherwise termed antigenic imprinting, whereby prior immune memory is recalled by a related antigenic encounter.

For new readers, original antigenic sin is a problem observed in some leaky vaccines. What happens is, a person’s immune system gets locked into its original response and never learns any new responses when it encounters variants. In other words, because of the leaky vaccine (the “original sin&rdquo😉, the person’s immune system only makes antibodies to the ORIGINAL viral strain, and never updates its antibodies at all to match new variant types, like an unvaccinated immune system can and will easily do.
In other words, injectees’ immune systems are no longer trainable against the disease.

Because the locked immune systems spur genetic development of the target virus, over time the original antibodies become increasingly less effective against new variant types. This can leave the vaccinated people in a really difficult spot. In bad cases, it basically makes them into AIDS patients as to the particular bug they got vaccinated against. In other words, they become immunocompromised to that particular disease, doomed to keep catching it over and over, with each case getting more and more severe.

Since the OAS issue was not the authors’ primary research objective, they didn’t chase it down to prove whether OAS caused the failure of the variant-specific jabs or not. They could have, but they didn’t. For some reason.

But they did say, “likely.”

Lies, lies, and continued lies from those who were in control, and are still insisting we inject children with experimental drugs... And all the fascists who are ready to cancel anyone who complains.

More children will be damaged by the 'vaccine's' than will be helped. Stupid stupid stupid.

Show me the evidence of all this supposed damage to people caused by vaccines.

1.3 million adverse reactions. 29,000 deaths.

It is like the flue. Every year there is a different variant to put us horizontally.

I'm waiting to see how it goes in wintertime where I live. If Covid variants increase in my area the boosters and masks start again. I work for a very large corporation who keeps on top of all this and tells us what to do.

Hi, I live in Australia, Canberra. It is full winter and a horrible cold one too. The covid is growing every day, many got it and now it is the largest cause of death here. So that is what you have to look forward to when winter starts.

@Jolanta Oooooooh could you provide la ink stating covid is the leading cause of death in Australia please? Because I call bollocks.

The positive case numbers have been going up a lot lately in my area, and are now the highest since March of this year. So I am back to masking when I go to stores and other indoor settings. In outdoor settings with crowds, I intend to distance myself.

@puff Google it.

@Jolanta Done. Bollocks as I said. Stop spreading disinformation to scare people. As covid infections rose, deaths went down as far as I can see
[abs.gov.au]

@puff This is April , May they are talking about. It has changed since then.

@Jolanta I have no doubt many are like my Father; recorded as a covid death when all involved know it was dementia. Take nursing home deaths out of the equation.
I suspect suicide is greater than covid deaths, with more far reaching consequences for society (suicide tends to be more younger people, not old farts like us aka vast majority of covid fatalities). Ditto cancer.

@puff Dementia is not a disease. It's a decline in the ability to reason, communicate, remember, and function in life. While dementia itself may not cause death, the result of progressive brain disorders eventually cause death.

@Jolanta statistics always lag. Because covid deaths (read death with covid not necessarily due to covid) may or may not have been a dominant cause on a given day or week, you can't make a blanket call of "leading cause of death". If you are going to do that, when we have a plane crash all of a sudden plane crashes becomes the new leading cause of death.
My fathers dementia, lewy body, came with Parkinson disease and his body wasted away, not just mental function. No expert by any means but there are many types of dementia which will kill you. In my fathers case identifiable stages were ticked off as he passed them. It was his cause of death, noted on his death certificate with the secondary cause being noted as covid, which put him on that list. He did get covid under lockdown (6 weeks) where we were refused visitation (thanks cunts, really kept him "safe" denying family access didn't it for his last month of life?), but he recovered eg his temperature and breathing went back to normal after being high. Every single person at the home knows he died from dementia, not covid.

If people would stay the fuck home, wear proper masks, had gotten vaccinated and boosted we would be done with this. Disinformation, politics, and selfishness are the biggest issues. Stop transmitting the virus and the virus won't have hosts. Without hosts there won't be new variants. It's so simple I could explain it to a small child.

MizJ Level 8 July 15, 2022

You sound like a hypochondriac that has been indoctrinated with the Vaccine Apologist Dogma. Everything you suggest is the exact opposite of what everyone should have done, and should do going forward. Less than 1% of the population was ever in any immanent danger of severe illness from a corona virus. Those with specific comorbities, ie obesity, diabetic, advanced age, immunocompromised,
should be protected. The other 99% should just carry on with life going outside and boosting their vitamin D in the sunshine. Everyone should be boosting their immune systems with Vit C & D, Zinc, and Melatonin. At the first sign of illness they should seek early treatment with one of the many proven treament protocols utilizing HCQ, IVM, Azythromicin, Zinc etc.... The vaccines were always non sterilizing and it was known from the outset that they did not prevent infection or transmission. They were completely useless against later variants ( Read the OP above), and the actually have a negative efficacy over time. Lastly, there is no evidence that masks have ever provided any benefit in reducing the spread of a respiratory virus in a population. It is those that are huddling indoors cowering in fear that are spreading any infection amogst each other.

The vaccines are not stopping transmission, how simple is that to understand?
If you are vaccinated, catch covid and pass on which happens, I am interested as to why you believe the virus will not mutate in the vaccinated?

@puff, @BDair I have risk factors that make the possibility of severe illness or death a concern. I will accept that 1% of young, healthy people are at high risk of severe illness or death but there is the possibility of long COVID in that group. The risk for those middle aged and up is higher and increases with age.

Virus mutations are possible in ANY host, I didn't say otherwise. Scientists never claimed that the vaccines alone would stop all transmission. What the vaccines do is lower the possibility of severe illness and death a LOT especially or those without comorbidities. It is true that they are a lot less effective against the current variants. Because of the reduced efficacy if we wish to not sicken and potentially kill people in our communities whatever we do to prevent transmission is the humanitarian thing to do. Preventing transmission also doesn't give the virus more hosts in which to potentially mutate.

The more people that are exposed to the virus, most which will have mild or no symptoms, the less people the virus can infect because natural immunity is broad and durable. Most viruses pass through the population, and are endemnic within a year or two. This is being stretched out artificially by taking a bunch of measures that have never worked before and keep doing them over and over. If you try to 'flatten the curve' too much, you end up with a straight line that goes on forever.

@BDair I have a co worker who has had the virus three times so far this year. She keeps getting it and is just as sick each time. All of the people who got it in our workplace were told that they could catch it again after 6 to 12 weeks. We are all keeping distances from each other using sanitation protocols to reduce the chance of spreading it to each other.
So getting it and surviving does not give you immunity to the disease.

@Budgie Unfortunately immunity created by previous infection and/or vaccines is not long lasting with Covid. Stay safe.

@MizJ I am a teacher working with special ed students and while mine are independent and able to look after their own bodily needs we have some who need hand over hand help for most things. They are getting sick, I have managed to not get it yet. But I am a socially distancing queen with 3 vaccines under my skin. I am also a bit of an introvert and don't mind not going out and being around others. I have one social event a week and that is enough for me.

@MizJ Long-term immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection among children and adults after mild infection
July 14, 2022
Study provided insights into the long-term features of the immune response to COVID-19 for different age classes, which could help in future COVID-19 vaccination strategies and prevention policies.
[mlo-online.com]

'A study published in JAMA Network Open of Italian children and adults with SARS-CoV-2 infection, found that anti–SARS-CoV-2 S-RBD IgG persisted until 12 months after infection in all age groups, with significant higher antibody peaks for younger individuals at every follow-up point. This study may provide an important basis to determine the schedule of COVID-19 vaccination in non–previously infected children and of booster immunization in pediatric patients who have already experienced COVID-19.'

I've had Covid twice, the last time very recently, so it had to be one of the new Omicron variants, and this time it was much milder than last time overall, so I am glad I have had the vaccines and boosters. If not, I assume it would have been much worse for me this time.

I have had no vaxxes or boosters or tests. I have had no symptoms of illness.
Everyone I know that has been vaxxed and boosted has tested positive.
If you had a 'natural' infection with a corona virus, you should credit that as it will conferr a robust and long lasting immunity to all variants. All of the vaxxed and boosted people that say 'It could have been much worse if I had not been jabbed and boosted' have been indoctrinated with the Vaccine Apologist Dogma and Big Pharma Propaganda. There is no evidense to support such a supposition.

@BDair Suit yourself. I believe otherwise and trust my doctors. I have a good friend whose brother in law refused to get vaxed or mask, got Covid, developed pneumonia, was hospitalized and died from it. His health before that was very average, so there's that... He was the same age as me.

I have a friend of a friend of a friend that died after being vaccinated.

@BDair Fine, be a smartass. Any more and I will block you.. I joke about a lot of dark things, but I don't joke about the deaths and serious illnesses of innocent people... Apparently you think that stuff is funny....

@TomMcGiverin The hospitals (and morgues) are full of unvaccinated people. But you can't tell him anything. He drank the conspiracy theory kool-aide.

@Flyingsaucesir

Let these vaxxer people die of lethal injection. AT lease it will be the right ones, who die.

@Castlepaloma You are really an asshole, anti-vaxer! Don't be surprised if we all have a laugh at you someday should you get really sick or die from Covid. I will have no sympathy for you, since you feel good about people who get vaxed dying, from whatever causes it may actually be.

@TomMcGiverin

Got too much on my plate to be alway in a state of sympathy, my compassion for the world covers it.
First, not a anti-vaxxer because probably had more kinds of vaccines than anyone here from travel. Not against anything for being against things is always part of the problem, it just I'm not for a few evil things. The greatest bigotry ever in my lifetime is the vaxxers in the world today. They are not allowed to fuck with my body nor mind. No matter how much they are for the super rich and against my ultimate choice of my own body..

I'm a very intuitive person from world events because of top historical museums and film work. The writing is on the wall, from 2 years ago, where my predictions and warnings like mandate masks and vaccines mandates have come true, While most said it wouldn't happen. Resulting record numbers of crime, divorces, medical problems inflation, poverty and record air pilots dropping dead from the sky and so on. Next it will be cyber wars which is happening now, climate change green passports, more food storage, gas prices, more of all supplies chain are screwed up. So when people call me an asshole, it because I didn't warn them enough this was all going to happen. At least I did my best to warn them, and at least I'm fully prepared with healthy food , freedom and tiny housing. Being an optimist and depopulating of the right people is a good thing. Since the 1950s the members of a household was three times greater of what it is today and in 1/3th the space. My tiny house community is making a come back and freedom to drop mandates abuse is in action by ;We the people:, not by We the Government.
