If you are going to start preaching then you better fully understand the book you are using to back up your position. If you fully understood that book, you wouldn't be preaching it, you'd be an Atheist. lol

This is true but let me explain it. The Lawd Cod made 2 people and then decided everyone else should get here through incest. Next he destroyed the world by water and saved 8 people who later on had to repopulate the earth through incest. That was the only way to get people back then.

Clearly they didn't have Amazon.com, you can order practically anything there and get delivery the next day. 😀

Personally, I think the story of LOt and his daughters was a bunch of crap. I think Lot got drunk, raped his daughters and then blamed them for what happened. One also wonders if he didn't first kill his wife first and blame it on the destruction of Sodom, which geologists say was destroyed by an earthquake which released natural gas deposits, which in turn built up and exploded destroyign whatever was left of the city after the earthquake.

The story in the bible says the daughters got Lot drunk and seduced him. It douns like the kind of story a drunk would make up to justify his daughters becmong pregnant by him.

Studies show that no matter how drunk a person is, even if they are drunk to the point of blackout, in the moment they are still aware of what they are doing and are still fully aware of right and wrong. So, Lot knew what he was doing in the moment, yet his daughters got teh blame for his actions. A tupical blame the victim scenario.

It was all the daughter's fault. I see.

In the bibly, it's always the woman's fault

I have always referred to the scripture where a queen orders a slave woman to the king, of course the king "knows" her in a biblical way.......and so gooodddd in his wisdom punishes the slave woman.

As I said above, in the bibly it is always the woman's fault.

@Beowulfsfriend have often wondered how women justified to themselves, belief in religion....openly being so feared and hated..

@HankSherman I wonder why women haven't started their own religion

@twill they tried I'm sure......then found out that was'nt where the men were.

@Beowulfsfriend This is the first rule of misogyny: Women are responsible for what men do.

The Bible is filled with all sorts of saucy and abhorrent passages. Verses we were never taught as children. I’ve always found this passage in Ezekiel amusing:

“Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.“
Ezekiel 23:19–21 (NIV)

Saucy....indeed.....abhorrent ????

@HankSherman The abhorrent parts are the texts that deal with murderous violence, rape, pillaging, slavery and misogyny (much of which was by God’s hand, or his people) just to name a few.

@p-nullifidian I apoligize, caught me being too selective.

@HankSherman No need to apologize, I was not as clear as perhaps I should’ve been.

@p-nullifidian it's nice belongjng to a mutual admireration society.😊😊
