Typical New Yorker behavior. Getting to be so everywhere nowadays.

Orlando Florida is far worse than NYC. Routinely people do things like letting doors slam in your face.

A few years ago I was in Harlem and people were friendly and politely helped me find my destination. At the jazz club they also were friendly and welcoming.

@MizJ about 20 years ago, while in Manhattan on a very eary Sunday morning, I asked a gentleman for directions and he said, "follow me," climbed into his Lincoln and showed us to where we were headed.

@Beowulfsfriend About 25 years ago I was in Manhattan on a sales trip. I was standing on a corner, waiting for a light off Times square a pair of tall, stylishly-dressed young women smiled at me as they crossed over to my side and climbed into a Checker cab. In the back seat, one of them turned to face the back window, opened her blouse, and showed me her bare breasts.

Continuing on to my hotel, I checked in at the front desk and walked over to the elevators. The door slid oped just in time to reveal a guy projectile vomiting on the elevator floor. Needless to say, I took the stairs Luckily I was only on the 5th floor.

Ya just gotta take the bad with the good, right? 😂

@Beowulfsfriend With the population density if people were rude it would be hell on earth. I've been to NYC many times and the only issue I had was a cab driver that took us the long way. I was with a couple of women with thick Southern accents and they didn't take my advice to zip their mouths and let me talk to the driver. They were perplexed by my laughter along the way. When we arrived at our destination I cussed out the driver and gave him the fare for the correct route, no tip.

When I was growing up that's how a group of us would greet each other 🖕🙂
