Is everyone technically an agnostic?
Or is everyone technically an bio organisms, a human being.and individualism first?. Or all above?

Whatever beliefs anyone holds is a mix between what they experienced growing up as children and the efforts they made to consider the issues supporting their beliefs. Is being an atheist, agnostic, or religious onesided is limiting your potential growths.As to potentially the well being of a high energy being or spiritual sided?
Agnosticism struggle with God concept is purely a human construct. Or the universe suggests any sort of overriding intelligence intentionally making their will manifest within this universe. Or what evidence suggests any sort super-being from the religious side is required for nature to function. How does it all.inherent to connect with what we all feel toward life, this planet, and all its inhabitants. I don't learn much particularly from religion as it was written into the dark ages, almost opposite from the 99% spiritual unknowns and dwelling in fear of regrets, not that healthy for my well being. Don't learn much fron Government or bankers as they are the greatest scammer today, more dangerous than religion.
The God concepts based on fear is losing this connection. Although Religion has the experience of history and is not lame. Personally I don't invest much energy into religion or politics, yet life would be boring without these over dramatically acclaimed queens and kings. To over focus only on thing one loses by divesting themselves of the mind-numbing pollution of anthropomorphized wishful thinking is the cloud fogging their brains.

At its root, “agnostic” means “without knowledge”~~and “gnostic” means “with knowledge”.I don’t like labels, yet If one must label me, agnostic is acceptable amoug 1000s of other things. “belief” is not knowledge.although everything achieved in life was all once imagined.

You and I--and everyone else who ever lived--cannot help but to be part agnostic. Trust my heart to lead first, stortly followed by the mind, alway works for me.

What works for you?

I am not "part agnostic".
I am totally atheist.

Your feeble attempt at logic fails; please go to facebook and annoy them. They will appreciate, and maybe even embrace your thinking since they are incapable of reasoning themselves.

Thank you.

There is a reason for everything, what is yours?. After 40,000 years of the theory of Gods. Can you prove to me at a 100% certainty that a God doesn't exist. Show me by evidence from the 99% untouched and unknown mass of the earth to zillions of stars and planets in the universe and give proof to me, there is no God?. Do you even own a spaceship?
Noone has yet, and probably not ever. And why there is still 75% of the earths population, is belivers of God. Not doing a good enough job convincing them they don't exsist.

I've used Facebook market to sell stuff , thats it. For the 1000s of Facebook people who want to be my friend, I'll send them all over to you in the your research to prove there is no God in the Universe. Because your need all the friends you can get to put a dent in this proof.

@Castlepaloma

First, there is no reason for everything (other than physics/chemistry/science), so you lead off with a fallacy. If there IS a reason for everything, then it's your turn to prove it.

Second, you need to prove that a god exists, I do not have to disprove the existence of nothing. If you claim you can fly by flapping your arms, I don't have to disprove it, you have to prove you can. Anything else is just stupid. As the saying goes: "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

I can't disprove that unicorns don't' exist (they don't) I can't prove spider-man doesn't exist (he doesn't), I can't prove you are educated (it appears if you have attended a school of higher education, you wasted your money). If something is imaginary and you say it exists, you are delusional ... AND you have to prove it exists, I don't have to disprove it.

You probably never have heard of Epicurus, but he put the whole "god" thing in perspective.

Is god willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil (why does evil exist) ?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him god?

And lastly, the bible has already proven a god doesn't exist, so I don't have to ... but you actually have to read it cover to cover to find out. Apparently you are religious, and haven't read your holy book. 😆

@AtheistInN

Nobody can or can not prove a God exist. I don't have prove anything to anyone unless it will harm them. Everything I do in life has a reason and was first imagined first. The mental process that shortly follows is more secondary. Dont need to go to extraordinary show proof how I do it, just do it. Like my world championship and sculpture scaled world records were all first visualized first in my imagination and given reasons to do them was the plan and motivation.

This reminds me of that other, equally supremely important question that we have unfortunately neglected since Scholasticism declined after the Middle Ages:

“How many angels can dance on the head of a needle?”

I feel I should of lived during the Renaissance times.
Even though the world is like living in the eye of a hurricane, now. My gut tells me we are ready for a second renaissan after the globalist take their last chance of owning us completely. People will grow as stronger individuals and start to act collectively after this worldwide abuse, that cycle happens every 80 years in a pattern.

@Castlepaloma
Odds are that you and I during the renaissance would’ve been downtrodden peasants. Only a very privileged minority enjoyed the Renaissance.

That privileged minority today enjoys engaging in esoteric, abstruse philosophical questions. They believe that this makes them appear smarter and more important than the exploited poor whose labor provides the privileged with the precious time to engage in such privileged discussions. @TheMiddleWay

@TheMiddleWay
Because you like those esoteric, ivory tower discussions yourself, instead of posting about the struggles of the people of Chile and Latin America.

@Krish55

Have to put myself among the privileges with Michelangelo, like a toy for the wealthy. He would have taken months and years to make a sculpture. I have days or weeks to make a sculpture. I"ve carved a sculpture 6 acres park of 70,000 tons and 67feet high, in 6 weeks called Temples of Time. Michelangelo built the Sistine chapels in 20 years with sculptures and his paintings. Size was 40.23 meters long, 13.40 meters wide, and 20.70 meters high (about 132 by 44 by 68 feet) Michelangelo would have loved the bulldozer and marble and wood chainsaws, we work with today Still in my books, Michelangelo was the best sculptor who ever lived.

I will probably live longer than him, yet in his day in age, he would have lived 3 times longer than the average person.

"... head of a needle"
I see what you did there. 🙂

@TheMiddleWay So when will you post about Chile and Latin America? Something about the lives of the common people? Rather than these abstract philosophical questions?

@TheMiddleWay

  1. You earlier claimed that your family were political refugees from Pinochets dictatorship.
  2. When I asked you why you didn't post about issues like that, you said you were too busy with life.
  3. But I noticed that you continually comment at depth on highly abstract, arcane, esoteric, and abstruse posts.
  4. Thus it seems that you have no interest in the people who were left behind to suffer in Chile and Latin America.
  5. Instead you cultivate yourself as a reasonable commentator on the deep philosophical issues that obsess smart but alienated gringo males.
  6. The obsession of such males with pretentious ponderings on their own mental schema regarding esoteric issues further alienates them from humanity.

Why does this matter?

It matters, in a better ID of oneself in relationships of many unknowns.

@Castlepaloma Well of course! Now I completely understand!!!!

Are you in a competition with @Matias for abstruse posts?

The human race is in the same boat, like it or not. The purpose is find better or closer answers to a few of these questions. Since human kind's knowledge about the earth and its earthling is about 1% of the surface crust of the earth. And 99% of the mass earth we haven't been even able to touch. Let alone the universe.

@Castlepaloma Yes, we haven't touched much of the Earth. But on the other hand, some people are indeed touched…

@Krish55

I don't set myself up as a person who is any better or worst than anyone esle. Although generally I lived a really happy life and loving what I do for most waking hours of my artist lifestyle. If you can pin point where I have a screw loose, then I will gladly make a quick adjustment. I would agree people have allowed themselves to be touched by a corrupted system, yet have the abilities to make those adjustments also.

Just like all such 'religious debate' questions it boils down to definitions.

Does agnostic mean truly mean 'with knowledge' (certainty), or does it mean 'with belief in knowlegde'.

If it truly means 'with knowledge' it becomes an almost meaningless concept. How do you know with certainty if someone knows something with certainty - and if you believe you know with certainty whether they know with certainty, how certain can you be of that?

So to give the concept of agnosticism any worthwhile value at all, I go with the 'softer' version - 'belief in knowledge'.

Does an individual believe that the existence or non-existence of god is confirmable as 'certain', and therefore 'knowledge'? If so, I call them a gnostic. If not I call them an agnostic.

By that softer definition gnostics most certainly exist. Worshippers who believe god's existence is certain - atheists who believe his non-existence is certain - both are gnostics.

By my own definition I am an agnostic - but if you choose a definition where all MUST be agnostic, then why bother with the term at all, when 'human' desribes the same population?

I think you're giving too much power to atheism and agnosticism. They are not choices that affect your life, they are descriptions of beliefs you hold that you have no control over. Yes, they can "limit your growth" but there's nothing you can really do about it and there's no difference between that belief and any other. Compare it to a belief that the Earth is flat. Yes, that could be limiting, but if you believe it, you believe it...

I don't think about the god concept much anymore. This is because I'm not always trying to connect the dots of ideas and therefore asking "what if?" It is OK to say you do not know. Nothing about this topic is worrying me. I'm not afraid I might die and wake up in the wrong religion's hell. I have no belief and I have seen the nonsense. Now here you go again trying to tell me what my non-belief is. How dare you. If anything came from my childhood it is all that baggage that I got rid of.

According to South Park , the Mormons is the only religious group who made it to heaven
.I got rid of my baggage from a tough childhood too, so good for you , many don't. The two most important things for our happiness is about our health and what we can forget in life, like the negative stuff.

What works for me is that. If there is a higher intelligence than those obviously found on earth, a god, or a spiritual world, if you like. Then it clearly choses to remain hidden. Which means that either it does not exist, or it intends us to act as if it does not exist.

And if a god exists, then, in the absence of a direct message from it, the best that I can suppose, that it may want me to do, is to. "Appreciate, and perhaps care for, the material creation, which it may have given." While if it does not exist, then the best that I can do for happiness and personal peace, is to. "Appreciate, and perhaps care for, the material creation I am given." You see, no difference.

So I will care for my friends, look to do the best I can for the living planet, and most of all, try to learn every day how to appreciate and enjoy even more, the green of the grass, the blue of the sky, the taste of my bowl of soup, and the touch of the hands that made it for me. It is enough, anything more is vanity.

I'm with Buddha on this one. When viewing life, my own and other, instead of pondering "why's" and "what if's" regarding big unknowns. Instead I accept as "just is" and enjoy the ride.
Although technically the existence of deities is "unknown", in my mind I have made the call and totally rejected the concept instead. This is not a big thing in my mind as I have done the same with other myths. It's a probabilities game and when the possibility or odds are so minute, an easy call to make imo. Mind open to change with evidence of course but not holding my breath as confident no evidence of gods will be forthcoming.

This is one reason we more so think alike because I'm secretly intoTaoism. Can not find flaws in a book based on nature and older than the Bible. Also a possiblist, base decisions on good sense and naturally always open
