In 1941, Franklin D. Roosevelt's speech of the bombing of Pearl Harbor said: "December 7, 1941 A Date Which Will Live in Infamy."

September 11, 2001 is a day no less infamous and for those of us alive at the time, the image of the two towers being decimated by our enemies will be forever etched in our memories. It is one of those moments that, when you found out about the attack, it is easy to recall exactly where you were.

Tragedy can unite a family and a nation; now, we are a nation divided. We need to avert the tragedy of staying divided and pull together for the common good for ALL of us.

And people, there ain't nuthin' about Trump that relates to the common good.

It is a traumatic day for American's, a day that the mainland USA was attacked.
As in attacks on the nation, the real affront was not the twin towers, it was the targeting of the Pentagon.......but no-one really highlights that on 9/11 anniversaries. I have often wondered why that is.

Because it is easier to get the sort of people who voted for trump (they were out there back in 2001) riled up over the twin towers flaming and collapsing visual than a military building not showing a lot of damage. It makes 'em angry if the military is attacked but a civil edifice?!?!? Whoa, that's some major crisis to get 'em riled to attack the doers but ALSO fearful. shrub 2 (my name for ex president bush) played the fear card to the hilt and it worked. He got the Patriot Act passed and those fools completely missed that it inserted the government into their lives like never before and took away some of their precious freedoms they claim to be so worried the dems are coming after. Plus the real coup was the WMD lie they all fell for.

@silverotter11 My problem is Biden just extended the emergency declared from 9/11 which keeps the Patriot Act alive. In other words, the coup started by the WMD lie continues supported by both sides.
Both parties like the idea of a POTUS that can ignore congress so they will keep it in play. Agencies like HS plus others are quite useful after all to maintain power. Constitution be damned.

@Gwendolyn2018 That's what I mean, I would of thought think it was the more threatening to US power and would be more prominent in anniversaries.

@puff Bingo! I've done rants how how both parties are workin' the system hard but it's time for dinner so it will have to wait for another time.😏😈😏

There was not much video of the Pentagon. With the Towers there were multiple angles, the impact of the planes, the collapses, and more. People have the attention span of gnats and will switch stations without sensational content to keep them through the commercial breaks.

Sadly, that ship sailed with evil Newt Gingrich and his contract with America. He was the one who convinced the gop it was not in their best interest to ever work with Democrats again and to hell with the American people. It's a zero sum game with them.😤

The thing that makes me sick is when it comes to military adventures abroad, they happily work together. The only time all cheered Trump was when missiles were sent into Syria as revenge for a Bio attack later proved to be false, courtesy of the "white helmets" who the West fawns over and supports. BTW how are those 2 illegal bases going in Syria? Bipartisan support for them, no problems there.

@puff No kidding! But that because of the money the military industrial complex funnels to them. Always look for the cash cow.
I think it was Eisenhower who was very concerned about the bovine.

I don't think you're going to be able to sell that to the GOP, there is no middle ground with them.
