OK. All you Russian apologists and quoters of Russian state media, explain away this:-

[bbc.com]

in the newly-liberated areas, relief and sorrow are intertwined - as accounts emerge of torture and killings during the long months of Russian occupation.

Artem, who lives in the city of Balakliya in the Kharkiv region told the BBC he was held by Russians for more than 40 days, and was tortured with electrocution.

Balakliya was liberated on 8 September after being occupied for more than six months. The epicentre of the brutality was the city's police station, which Russian forces used as their headquarters.

Artem said he could hear screams of pain and terror coming from other cells.

The occupiers made sure the cries could be heard, he said, by turning off the building's noisy ventilation system.

"They turned it off so everyone could hear how people scream when they are shocked with electricity," he told us. "They did this to some of the prisoners every other day... They even did this to the women"....

... Just a short walk away at the end of a lonely laneway, some of their victims lie hastily buried by their neighbours. A crude wooden cross marked the makeshift grave of a taxi driver called Petro Shepel. His passenger - whose identity is still unknown - lies next to him.

The stench of death filled the air as the police exhumed their remains, and zipped them into body bags.

Lol. Ukraine department of propoganda has probably had these stories & actors ready to roll since advice from the CIA soon after 2014.
Naturally the imbedded BBC was chosen to "release" the "news".

Condemn both sides? Who feeds war?

puff Level 8 Sep 14, 2022

Russia fed the war. Ukraine was not in any way beligerent, yet you wish to condemn Ukraine for acting in self-defence of their territory. You sound like one of Putin's puppets.

Set to a well known tune:-
"Puff, the Putin puppet
Lived to disagree ..."

@puff Feel like this post was meant for you? It was. Among a few others.

@Petter ffs Petter how demented have you become? [westernjournal.com]

You talk of Putin puppets what are you - nothing but a deluded old man born out of Norwegian-English colonialism & fascist beliefs.

@barjoe And I condemn both sides and those that feed war. I have never supported Russia's invasion of Ukraine and condemned Putin for it. I have stated Putin's time is over but Russians should roll him.
But I do have a sense of history and see Ukraine has been used by NATO especially to rev up tensions to justify their existence. I have no love of NATO simply because they destroyed the most prosperous country in Africa that posed no threat to them, making their (Europes)) border much less secure. Useless warmongering cunts are all they are.
For some reasons I think these shows of sympathy for Ukraine from otherwise warmongers eg don't mention other conflicts and applaud when "shock and awe" happens, opinions are led by agenda.

As Ukraine recaptures territory from Russian forces in Kharkiv, more war crimes and atrocities soon will be revealed. Putin is a butcher!

... in the mould of Stalin, Hitler, and his favourite hero, Peter, "the great", of Russia, who all attempted to swallow the entire Eurasian continent.

@Petter Appeasement by Stalin and Chamberlain allowed Hitler to take over much of Europe, along with intelligence breach against France by French and British Nazis, as well as some in the royal family. That's what we cannot let happen 21st century, appeasement with Russia. They will reshape and destroy the European continent. Resistance is the only way.

@barjoe that is a very logical sounding reason to enable US policy to create the environment for the destruction of much of Europe & Russia just as it did during & following WWI & II.
