I disagree. These people are in business to provide a safe, nurturing, caring environment for other people's children. If they don't have the judgment or the brains to understand that a toddler doesn't understand that type of "game", then they are in violation not fulfilling their legal obligations. They deserve more than a slap on the wrist. If this were your child you might feel differently. Those children suffered psychological abuse. It's no different than if they had been physically abused. It's still a crime.

@TheoryNumber3 Those kids will be fine. The owner of the daycare center goes away scott free. They hired these people, they are supposed to vet them and train them. If these kids had been a little older, this would have been a nothing burger. Pretty mean to tease and scare little toddlers. I just don't think these people need to go into the prison system. IMO kind of over the top.

@barjoe Well you don't know that they'll be fine. That's kind of a cavalier attitude. Did you see their faces? They were TERRIFIED!! Do you have children? How would you feel if this happened to them?

I suspect there won't be a jail sentence, but they are charged with felony child abuse, so they need to pay for their crime in some way. What were they thinking????? Screaming in their faces wearing scary masks?. Hell, that "Scream" mask scares the crap outa me!!!
