It already is overrun with fascists, who call themselves Democrats and Republicans, and their fascist influence has been going on now for decades.
As for how much longer that will go on, I suspect for many more years to come, as there aren't enough citizens out there these days who channel the political views of the late George Carlin. We're screwed, and not in the ideal way at that.
