I do. Rush is my favorite. Now enjoy a lot Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree. But I enjoy Good music in general.

I Googled up a list of progressive rock bands and, yes, I definitely listen to some of them. But, I confess, I had trouble seeing the commonality between the bands listed.

Of the ones on the list, these are the ones whose music I've actually purchased: Alan Parsons Project, Blue Öyster Cult (have seen in concert too), Boston, Kate Bush, The Decemberists, Electric Light Orchestra, Golden Earring, Jethro Tull, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, The Moody Blues, Todd Rundgren, Rush, Split Enz, Styx, and Supertramp.

I'm primarily an old school metalhead, but I've never heard anything bad from Porcupine Tree.

I do. I was a bigger fan back in the day. King Crimson, Yes, ELP, etc. I haven't kept up much with more modern progressive stuff, though.

I am 64.... Many progressive music are a thing of the Past in my life.

I own a lot of older music in what I consider progressive rock. Hawkwind, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Pink Floyd, Procol Harem, King Crimson.

The Moody Blues basically created prog. rock. Glad they finally made into the Rock Hall

I have no idea what progressive music is, and if it is compared to regressive music. Mom to former band geeks, maybe I should ask them.

I like Steven Reich, some John Cage and there are others I have heard and that I like quite a bit. Also I think Radiohead has some very progressive music (shit with weird beats that make the song).
I have a hard time with noise music, like unedited sounds of machines or just sounds. I think I would sit through 4'33".

I never understood the "progressive" label. Opeth is progressive metal or something, aren't they? Isn't tool progressive something or other? Both are great.
