Also I found out today that someone I thought was a friend has ripped me off £1900 over the last couple of weeks (I leave my door open, she knows where my wallet is and must have watched me putting my PIN number into an ATM). Still hard to believe it but there's no other possible explanation.

You can't feel what is NOT there!!!!! True story: I was standing out in the entrance of a church during the church service. In walked a transvesite (we call them Mahu in Hawaii). I welcomed the person and encouraged them to go into the sanctuary and join the service. I noticed the reluctance in her body language and told her it was ok...please come in.

Unfortunately she took my advice and walked into the church sanctuary. Upon her entrance, the church folk turned around in their seats and gazed at this person as though she had walked out of a sewer. Facial expressions and all!! No love of god anywhere to be found. Embarrassed and hurt, she left the church and never came back.

The Bible encouraged.."Whosoever will let him/her come" Ironically that churches motto was..."YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE FREE"

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation (UU) I belonged to in Columbia, SC had a pastor who went to seminary as a Baptist and preached as a Baptist and left that denomination because he could no longer preach what he did not believe. One of the members there was a retired Methodist preacher and one where I live now was an ordained minister. As most of you may know UUs have no doctrine leaving it to an individual to believe what they want including nothing at all. I personally am atheist as are most of our members and many others are agnostic. We have close to 600 members. So NO and hell NO. This country does not belong to the Christians; it belongs to all of us!!!!

After my sister died in 1965 we went to family counseling for a few weeks. One day we had the church priest come in and talk with us. I was 11 at the time and was present. As my parents talk the priest told them directly that the reason my sister died is that our family did not go to church enough. My mother cried. My sister had spent most of her short life 4 years in a children's hospital from kidney failure. My parents have to claim bankruosy after her death. For me I just saw it as the final betrayal.

According to Christianity, the Holy Spirit is the one who leads you to God. So if you haven't felt the love of God, it stands to reason that God the Third (holy spook) wasn't sent to make you aware of it. It also stands that in that case, God the First (Pappy G) didn't send #3 (Holy Casper) so you can have a necrophilia relationship with God, Part Deux (Jesus), and is therefore sending you to hell b/c he wants you there.

I would find it hard to worship a being who demands a higher morale standard then he holds to himself. Even if he did exist.

If there is a God, a superior being, then for me, to personally accept them, they have to be totally uninvolved with humanity. More like the Eastern religions which are more spiritual interconnectedness. If there is an Abrahanic god, then I don't want anything to do with such an asshole. If he has the power, supposedly does, to cure sick kids, war and all else, then he should or he is simply a dick. Thus, I would hope if there is some greater force, it does not have the power to interfere. Maybe as the Buddhists believe the universe was formed (Big bang) and then developed its way and will one day end (The big crush) and then hit the repeat button.

God loves everyone but he really loves stupid people there are so many of them.
