Why is Islam the exception to scrutiny and opposition? It seems like particular atheists have no problem delegitimizing and satirizing Christianity but are hesitant to do the same for Islam. Why?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.No religion should be less subject scrutiny, but in the case of Islam, and perhaps other religions, some are probably ignorant or less informed to many of its actual beliefs and practices (other what American media and other outlets broadcast); therefore some are trying to be objective.
